The Thoughts of Silence

On a cold evening in Siberia, a pale woman sits in her home, no one to keep her company. Of course, there usually aren't people and so she doesn't mind the quiet. In fact, it gave the woman some time to think; about her father, her siblings, her aunts, and her few friends.

Her father is a strange man; tall and powerful, yet he keeps it hidden. He hides his hatred behind a wall of naivety, which he uses to hide his loneliness. In an attempt to keep the people he holds dear, he hurts them, since fear keeps them with him. He is frigid and cold, yet he hates the winter (something the woman will never understand) and all that comes with it. The man is very protective of his family, consisting of his sisters and of course his children (two girls and one boy). Yes, Russia is a strange man.

Then there are her aunts; soft, delicate Ukraine and vicious, powerful Belarus. The woman loves them both dearly, and the feeling is reciprocated (I firmly believe that Belarus isn't as crazy as we all think; she's just self-conscious and fiercely protective of her family.). She doesn't see her aunts often, but she doesn't mind much.

Her siblings are both considerably younger than she is, both being only minor beings. Her brother ,Moscow, lives with their father and his servants, the Baltic States. Her sister, on the other hand, lives in North America. She was sold to The United States by her father (though, of course, the man was upset), but she's happy living with Canada and being visited by her па́па and her mama (Russia and the US, respectively). The woman did love Alaska.

The woman's closest companion is, of course, Canada. She knew that he loved her father, and it pained him to see the other man with China, but there was nothing she could do. Instead, she visited him as often as possible, helping make pancakes and catching up on the latest news (for such a quiet and unnoticed nation, he is a huge gossip!). Because of her father's protectiveness, she doesn't often speak to other nations.

The woman, startled out of her musings by the howl of a wolf, sighed. She silently stood and unwound her ever present scarf, revealing a long, jagged scar going across her throat. Because of this scar, the woman has been rendered mute. Her other features included her long, silvery blonde hair, neatly pleated, and her pale violet eyes (both acting as proof of her albino characteristic). She is tall, easily hitting 6 feet, but she is also thin, too much so to be considered healthy.

She gazed out of the window at her right, but her vision was blocked by the thick snow blanketing everything unfortunate enough to be caught outside. Sighing again, the personification of Siberia left the room.
