Police Car: TRANSFORM! (Police car transforms)

Cyclonus: Barricade, Why'd ya have to scare us like that?

Barricade: I felt like it. (Transforms and leaves)

The New Beast Wars

Chapter 1: The Rekindling

(Park in front of Domino Zoo, Yugi's POV)

I was walking trough the park with Joey and Atem; it was a bright and sunny day, with birds singing and children playing. "So," Joey said in his usual story tone, "My Life Points were about to hit zero, when I drew my Red-Eyes and clobbered Rex with it. He said 'Not with my own card again!' It was hilarious!" "As fun as hearing that story for the millionth time is, Joey," I told him, "But, we were there, we saw it for ourselves."

"Yugi'" Atem said, "Joey's just being Joey I can't complain about that. Let's just get to-" Atem was cut off as we came across a strange object.

It was a pod of some sort. It had a computer console on one side. There was a window on the top, revealing the contents, a strange liquid metallic thingy. The thing inside was humanoid in shape, and had a glowing orb in its chest, which had a pulsating core. The pod had a strange saber-tooth cat-looking symbol on top.

"What does this do?" Joey said as he pressed a button. "Joey, no!" Atem and I both yelled. A computerized male voice then said "Programming chip accepted. Commencing DNA scan" The pod then deployed an antenna with a ball on top, which released two wide yellow beams of light. After a few seconds, the computer said "Suitable DNA located." A wire-framed lion appeared on the screen. "Beginning replication." The thing inside started to pulsate. After a few more seconds, the pod opened, and a lion stood up from inside it.

(Another part of the park; Bakura's POV)

Marik and I were just walking through the park, drinking Mountain Dew and PowerAde (we had a cooler of them), and scoffing at the natural beauty. It was a horrid day, I hate sunny weather. The birds were also making that horrible racket that some people call singing. Ryou and Malik had kicked us out for the day, so we had to do something. "Man," I said, "being mortal sucks. I can't even put a Penalty Game on a mosquito for biting me. Atem will pay for this!" "Calm Down, Bakura," Marik told me, "I've adapted. You could get a pet. Mine's doing great."

"What is it? A porcupine? A snapping turtle? An alligator? A Tyrannosaurus Rex?"

"No, A kitten. Her name is Isis."

"WHAT!? A KITTEN!? WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!?"

"I was thinking Malik said to get a nice pet or else, so I-"

Then we saw it: a black metal pod with a window on top and one of those "computer" thingies on one side. The top also had a bug-looking symbol on top. Inside was a silver thing with a glowing orb in its chest. "The best way to see what this is," Marik said, "is to press a button." "Don't touch that!" I told him, but it was too late.

A "computerized" female voice said "Programming chip accepted. DNA scan commencing." The pod unfolded a strange antenna, which released two purple beam of light. "Scan complete. Begin replication" it said after a few seconds, as a "wire framed" crocodile appeared on the computer "screen". It so happened I was wearing a crocodile-tooth necklace that day. Waves started to form on the silver thing. A few seconds later, the pod opened and a crocodile crawled out.

Bakura: Now that's an intro.

Cyclonus: Next time: The secrets of these animals are revealed. Expect a battle between them.
