Serena sighed with sadness. A huge ache was present in her heart.
Her long blond hair was loose, moist from the warm shower. She wore a
pink short pajama top that had white fluffy bunnies happily dancing
all over it. The pajama pants were of the same pattern, yet were so
long you could not even see her tiny feet.
Her eyes glistened; as if they were shooting stars..
She had made plans with everybody to have dinner at the arcade. Yet,
there she was at the stroke of nine, still sipping on her third
vanilla milkshake. Alone.
Everyone had a reason on why they could not make it. Serena felt so
naïve for even proposing such an idea, when she knew everyone had
their own things going on.
Everything was so different lately. The scouts all seemed so distant,
and so involved in their own hobbies and interests.
Amy being the president of the chess club
Rae teaching classes at the shrine.
Lita and her cooking.
Mina with her singing lessons.
And Darien..
Serena sighed sadly once again.
He seemed so concerned with his school work lately.
After the battle with Galaxia, Darien was not able to get back into
the University in America.
However, he was able to attend the University of Juban, through some
miraculous wonder, given that the application period was already
closed.
Darien being the top of his class always had great advantage.
He always and still to this day takes his studies incredibly seriously.
So seriously, he hardly made any time for her. The last time they
were able to go on an actual date, was about three months ago.
With much effort, Serena mustered a small smile.. 'At least
everyone is happy" She whispered thru sniffles, as her icy blue
eyes filled up with tears.
She hated feeling lonely.
Serena stared at the various picture frames on her nightstand..
In them, were pictures of everyone is deeply cared for.
Nodding her head, as if strength had been implanted in her heart,
Serena nodded and thought that it was now time to quit depressing
herself.
She wiped away her tears with her hand, and giggled as she heard the
crickets sing outside her window out of tune.
…..BOOM.
Serena felt a pang of pain resonate thru her head.
She gasped, as everything continued to throb.
She rubbed her temples.. Her breathing began to grow heavy.
She fell on her knees, the rug beneath her burning her skin.
She drew a fist beside her head. Clutching the sleeve of her top in
frustration.
"Why does this keep happening?"
She shut her eyes in hopes that the rush of agony would abruptly stop.
The memories of last nights dream began blind her vision like a flood.
Serena was surrounded in a thick fog. A low deep rumbling noise began
to grow loud.
In panic, Serena's eyes darted in all directions attempting to
discover the source of what the terrifying sound was..
'Princess Serenity. You are quite the fool to think that any of
these friends of yours, that anybody in fact, would ever need you. I
am here to tell you what everyone is afraid to say, YOU DO NOT BELONG
HERE!!'
Serena turned her head, but with no avail was she able to find out
who this mysterious character was. A beeping sound brought her back
to reality.
She was back in her room, her forehead touching her rug.
Her communicator was going off.
