Charger didn't like the way his house felt empty now, on his day off. Campbell and Jax had made themselves at home and turned his small house into a home in the process, not that he minded. He welcomed it, save for the fact that his relationship with Campbell was confusing to put it simply.

Which is why he had called the only other mech he knew that had gone through losing a bondmate and lived. When the large black and orange truck pulled in, Charger's holomatter came to the door as Trailcutter's got out of the cab. "Hey there, didn't expect you to call me. It's been too long." After Razor's gang all went their separate ways Charger and Trailcutter had become drinking buddies at Swerve's and soon realized they had a lot in common.

"yea sorry about that" Charger replied, welcoming his old friend in. "How's Axel doin'? Been keeping ya busy?"

Trailcutter nodded "Of course, it's the only reason it's been so hard for me to come out here and surprise you." The beast of a man smiled, and it was as if they'd never been apart. Charger poured the man some coffee and Trailcutter thanked him. "So you said something about needing advice?"

Charger sighed as he sank into a chair. "Remember how I told ya about that young woman I was too scared ta take a chance with?"

Trailcutter rememebred all too well how he had lamented "The photographer right? What was her name, Campbell?" Charger nodded and Trailcutter furrowed his brow, concerned. "Been thinking about her a lot?"

Charger smirked "Actually, she turned out outta the blue a couple months back, her an' her kid." He noticed Trailcutter sit up a little straighter and nodded. "I offered to let them stay here...kid is cute as hell an she. Well Campbell looks amazin'." He felt himself blush thinking about her. "Healthy weight now, hips got wider, covered in tattoos."

Trailcutter nodded and leaned forward "and? What's going on with that?"

Charger shrugged "One night we started foolin' around and now it's kind of a regular thing?" He left out the details about how she wouldn't let him touch her until he came at least once. He wasn't sure why she did things this way but her taking charge and the way she touched him drove him mad and what they had was something he was sure he needed years ago.

"Okay...and what's the catch?" Trailcutter knew what the response would be but he asked Charger anyways.

"Trailcutter, I'm in love with her. I'm in love with her and all those old feelings are coming up again an' I don't know what to do. " He said frankly. "I mean there are still times I even think about...my bonded. Still." The other mech nodded and shrugged slightly.

"I hear you. I mean I know how you feel about Campbell you made it real clear before but...have you tried to talk to her about this?"

Charger frowned "not really. I don't wanna scare her away, an' it seems like she's content with just...whatever the hell this is." He gestured to himself and sighed, resting his head in his hands. "Jax keeps callin' me daddy an' I don't think my heart can take it if the both of 'em up an' leave."

Trailcutter was surprised at how broken up Charger was about this. He had always seen the other mech as very grounded and sure of himself. "Charger, you're never gonna know how she feels unless you talk to her. You need to get your feelings out in the open. Or show them, I know how you are about words." Trailcutter chuckled and Charger cracked a small smile. The other man nodded, sighing and looking up at Trailcutter with dark red eyes.

"Yer right, an' I needed to hear it come outta yer mouth instead a' my own head." Charger sat up straighter and smiled. "Thank ya, Trailcutter."

"That's what friends are for," The dark haired man smiled back.
