Winry dropped to the in front of a hastily made grave in front of me.

"Winry?" I asked, leaning to the side to see what the tomb stone said. It read Envy Hoenheim.

"Don't tell Ed." She whispered.

I nodded; it was her secret, not mine.

"Did you make the grave?" I asked her.

"I did; it was just after you came back," She whispered again.

"How did you two meet, and how did you know that he didn't make it?" I couldn't contain my curiousity.

"He stalked me when I was their hostage; I didn't notice at first." She answered, amusement laced her voice.

"Brother was there when Envy took his own life." I told her.

"Yeah." She muttered.

"He said that Brother had understood him or something." I explained to the best of my ability.

"He didn't mention me?" She asked me in her desperation.

"No, he didn't. If he had Brother would have mentioned it." I told her, sincerely.

"Ed said that a homunculus had taken his own life, because no one cared about him. I thought that it was Envy." Winry muttered, clearly in pain at the thought.

"It was." It hurt to tell my best friend that.

"You know what Envy told me last? He told me to be happy with Ed." Her voice was both melancholy and cheerful all at once.

"What did you say back to him?" I asked her, knowing that she would of had to respond to something like that.

"I told him, 'not to be hopeless and to come back home to me.'" Winry answered.

"You still wouldn't have been here for him to come home to." I told her, thinking of Father's plan.

"I was hoping that he would beat the odds and come back to me." Winry muttered, sadly.

My heart went out to her despite the fact that she was dating my brother, and that she was heartbroken over our enemy.
