"Do I look like Harrison Ford?"
"Well..."
Gibbs rolled his eyes and walked off to get more coffee.
Kate laughed softly. If you squinted a little and imagined a few more pounds on him, Gibbs really did look kind of like Harrison Ford. She turned back to work, noticing Tony still standing. He wore a thoughtful expression, watching Gibbs' retreating back.
"What?" Kate asked, curious.
"He has a point you know," Tony mused.
"What, that he looks like Harrison Ford?" Kate's mouth twisted into a smile.
"No! I mean, maybe, but that's not what I meant. His life...it's like a Harrison Ford movie. First the whole Air Force One thing. Then this...it's just weird." Tony seemed to snap to and went back to work, but Kate started thinking.
What was next? Nazis stealing ancient relics? A missing Russian submarine? Maybe even young Amish murder witnesses? She wouldn't be surprised. She shook her head amusedly and turned back to work, just as Gibbs returned with his fresh cup. He had that look on his face, the look that said 'grab your gear, we're going out'.
"Grab your gear, we're going out," he barked, picking up his bag.
"What is it?" Kate asked as they drove.
"Guy found dead in the park. His son turned himself in. Son claims that he thought terrorists killed his father, but the father actually was the terrorist. Son strongly against terrorism, so he meets the father and they duel. Son kills the father."
"So, what does that have to do with us?" Kate asked, trying to be respectful.
"The son is a naval aviator."
Tony snorted in the back. Kate turned to look at him and Gibbs checked the rearview mirror.
"Anything you'd like to share, DiNozzo?"
"Well, boss, it's just that I've heard the story before."
"Where?"
"Return of the Jedi? StarWars? It's so obvious!" Tony seemed shocked that they didn't recognize the reference. "Never mind," he muttered.
Kate shook her head, turning back to the front. She missed the impish grin growing on Tony's face, but he spoke up soon enough.
"At least the son isn't a Fugitive," he sniggered.
Kate caught on quickly and joined in. "But we don't know What Lies Beneath."
Gibbs was rolling his eyes, but Tony persisted. "Was there a Witness?"
Kate laughed. "Is he still Presumed Innocent?"
"He may pose a Clear and Present Danger."
Kate and Tony dissolved in laughter, not to Gibbs' amusement. Suddenly, he slammed on the brakes, throwing Tony and Kate forward violently.
"What are you doing?" Kate yelled, surprised and frightened.
He grinned wickedly. "The Emperor Strikes Back."
"Well..."
