A/N: Yes, this is a Texas Chainsaw Massacre fan fiction. Basically, what I am doing is creating a new Thomas Hewitt. He ends up with the name of Lecter, well, you'll see it all as you read. Like I always do, I am rewriting the series into my own version. You can count on Thomas being meaner than hell in this, he's going to have qualities that Leatherface fans would never dream of! Anyway, do enjoy, you will see contrasts and similarities between the 2003 remake and The Beginning and this rewrite, so ENJOY comrades!
Prologue: October 31, 1937
The blinding whiteness and clean odor of the hospital room made Manny Dahmer more nauseous than she already was. The vision of herself sitting next to her deceased husband's bedside of the same room she occupied at that moment sickened her. Two days before their third child would enter their life, cancer had ripped him from that life and left her in a lost state of mind.
She closed her eyes and tried to take small breaths so that she'd get as little of the smell the room emitted as possible. The hope that her labor wouldn't last more than she could take, Manny tried to make the best of having her third child.
After a few minutes the doctor came in and asked how she was doing.
"Barely surviving," Manny told him softly.
The doctor sighed a pitied sighed. "I am aware this is the room the father of your baby passed away, and I am sorry that we had to place you here," he said. "If you'd like we can try and exchange it just before the baby is due--"
Manny shook her head. "No, it's fine. I just want to have this baby and get out of here," she said.
The doctor raised an eyebrow in surprise. He knew there'd been hate in her voice and it made him nervous, and suspicious of something that could end up giving the baby a bad life. He wondered if it'd be best to get the aggravated woman checked up on her mental state.
"Are you going to be OK?"
"As soon as this baby is born," Manny said in a low, irritated voice.
The doctor nodded. "I'll let you gather your thoughts now in peace." He gave her a smile and left.

Eleven hours later the little baby, wrapped in a bundle in Manny's arms, stared up at Manny with Matt Dahmer's dark blue eyes and no smile that newborns usually give when seeing their mother for the first time. The hate that had already been present worsened as Manny stared back at her baby.
"What's his name?" The nurse asked, breaking Manny's stare from the bundle in her arms.
"Lecter Brown," Manny said without much thought.
"Lecter Brown Dahmer," the nurse said to herself as she wrote the name down. "In a few days you guys can go home and put this hospital behind you for a short while."
"The sooner the better."
The nurse stopped at the door as she began to leave and turned to Manny. "By the way, Mrs. Dahmer, Happy Halloween."
