A/N: If you've married the wizard, you'll obviously notice that the wedding is held during the night with no on attending at the church. One thing they didn't think through is that Perry was probably sleeping in the back room, clueless…
Moonlight shone through the windows, which were coated in professionally done intricate paintings depicting all kinds of different things. They proved a nice splash of colour in the otherwise lifeless church.
The night was beautiful, and perfect for a midnight wedding.
It seemed like an eternity as the bride slowly made her way up the aisle. The usually air of childishness was absent today, replaced by a mature edge. She was about to become a wife, after all, she was an adult.
Unsure whether her nervousness or her happiness was greater, she just focused on breathing as she reached the groom, the wizard. She was tense as she positioned herself next to him, placing her hand gently in his. Who would have guessed that the bubbly farm girl would have ended up with quiet recluse? People would have guessed her much more suited to someone like Luke or Julius.
Molly smiled warmly as the wizard recited his vows,
"I shall be by your side, always, faithfully." He announced. It was nice hearing him speak clearly without multiple pauses like he usually did. Molly just nodded, her eyes closed peacefully. "This ritual pleases me."
She opened her eyes, but not because of the wizards words. The couple spun around quickly, eyes wide as one of the wooden doors creaked open and none other than Perry, the priest and resident of the church, walked out alertly.
"Y-you!" He stuttered in disbelief at the site of them, whose hands were tightly locked. "How did you get in here?" He looked like he was going to have a heart attack as he pointed at the pair.
Molly let go of her lover's hand, biting her lip. This was not in their calculations. "Listen, Perry, we can explain." She started with a nervous chuckle.
"It's past midnight. You gave me the fright of my life." Perry accused angrily. It was strange seeing the priest clothed in a fluffy blue dressing gown and slippers. Bunny slippers. They were so used to seeing him in the traditional priest's wear.
"Well, we didn't want to wake you up, so-" Molly attempted to explain again before she was interrupted.
"Get out. The church is closed. I don't care what you were doing." Perry sighed tiredly. Who knew he could be so grumpy when tired. He stormed into his room, slamming the door behind him. "I always knew there were crazy people on this island..." he muttered to himself.
And so the couple ended up standing outside in the cold, the church doors locked firmly. Hikari rubbed her arms, trying to rid them of the goose bumps that were beginning to appear.
"Well, that failed…" Molly sighed.
"Maybe…We were too loud."
"Yeah. We never even got a chance to put on the rings…"
"I…told you we…should have asked for permission first."
"Hey, you're the one who wanted a quiet midnight wedding with just us. How is it a wedding without a priest anyway?"
"What should we do…Now?"
"Hmm…I dunno…The church doors locked…Do you think we'd get discovered if we broke a window?"
"Yes."
"Bother. . . I guess we have no choice but to just go home."
"What about…the wedding?"
"Meh, we'll come back tomorrow night."
