The Pain She Couldn't't Tell

Sakura wasn't happy. She wasn't happy at all. Sure her once true love, Sasuke, had returned but the thing was he had changed so much in the past 4 years. Of course the given was that his hair had grown a bit longer and he had grown more skilled, stronger under the training of Orochimaru. Those were just a few of the changes though. His eyes held more hatred than she had ever seen in anyone's eyes before. He was colder and harsher. People, even including her, had trouble getting just a "Hn" out of him.

Not long after his return he agreed to date her. The only strange thing was that he was one that asked her. Sakura thought of this as strange but still held a place for him in her heart and smiled with saying the answer "Yes". Soon she moved in with him in the Uchiha Estate. That's when she found out just how much he actually changed.

Green eyes fluttered open as the figure in a bed sat up. The moon illuminated the figures angelic like features and soft rose colored hair.

"Sakura." a very stoic voice sounded in the still air.

At once the now named figure, Sakura, knew who's silent footsteps in the night had woken her up. She looked over to the bedroom doorway and saw his tall lean body as it leaned against the frame. It was Sasuke.

He had just returned from his 4 week A-rank mission, that she was sure of. With as much courage as she could muster a smile made its way to her face as she swung her legs over the edge of the bed standing up.

"Your back." she said hoping for him to fall for her fake happiness. Sakura knew better though, she knew he wasn't stupid.

"Quit faking." he said sternly to her.

"What ar-" She was suddenly pushed up against a wall.

"I said," he started "Quit faking." this time it was much more stern and was like a command. His hand reached up to lift her chin so he could look her directly in her jade eyes. He saw all the pain. All of the pain he had caused her could be seen in those now lifeless eyes.

He loved her, but that was something he could never admit. After all he was an Uchiha, an avenger to Konaha. The only thing was he loved her in a possessive way. He hated to have any man other than him touch her. When they would go out anyone who looked at her in a way, or even the less talk to her, they got a taste of his sharingan.

The moon shined down one their body's. His lips grazed her left ear as he whispered, "Go back to bed." this time his voice wasn't as commanding but the sternness was still there. In less than the blink of an eye he was gone leaving her alone the moonlit bedroom.

She stood up against the wall for a few more seconds before laying back down on the bed. Grabbing navy colored sheets she pulled them up to her chest. She laid on her side facing the door and closed her eyes. The last thing she would remember before falling asleep was a silent tear streaking down her cheek.
