Hidan sat with both his legs on the sofa, his left elbow draped over his left knee. He kept one eye on the darkened corridor leading to the main door of the Akatsuki compound, hoping that he wouldn't get caught.
Once the coast was certified clear, he slipped a CD into the DVD player. A last check confirmed no lurking Akatsuki, and he pressed play.
Nicolas Spark's 'The Notebook' started to play, and Hidan was was thrown into a plot of lovers being separated, the heartbreak of unreplied letters, the confusing choice between a fiancé and a first love.
Hidan rejoiced in the pain that both characters felt, but the happy ending in the end gave him more satisfaction, okay, who was he kidding? It moved him to tears.
In fact, just as he was sobbing into tissue, the door swung open. In one swift motion, he switched the tv to the horror movie that was playing.
"Hidan? Are you... Crying?" Kakuzu asked, a slight taunt in his words.
"What? No! I'm laughing at all these people screaming in terror, I teared up a little." Hidan covered up smoothly, then bursting into manical laughter.
Kakuzu raised an eyebrow, but didn't say anything else before retreating into his own room.
Hidan retrieved the CD and hid it back under his bed. He breathed a sigh of relief. Kakuzu almost found out his secret.
He enjoys Romance Stories.
