Drabble word: blanket.
Pairing: Shassie!
Rating: PG
Just a little somethin' somethin'. My first submitted Psych piece!
Shawn kicked the blanket away from his lightly sweating body, half-asleep. He heard a grumble from the tall man to his right at the jerky movement. A hand swatted at him lightly.
"Shut up."
"But I didn't say anythin'." Shawn mumbled in weak protest, slurring his words noticeably in his near-unconscious state. Silly Lassie was obviously too tired to coordinate his brain's message to his mouth—"Wake me up again and you're sleeping on the floor." He was also too tired to reply, but that could have been because he was already back to sleep.
After their…exercise routine?...a few hours ago, he wasn't surprised when he fell asleep covered in sweat, still draped over Lassiter. The man seemed to have a thing for not turning on the air conditioning at night, despite being in, oh, maybe, California and it was still almost 80 degrees Fahrenheit despite being three in the morning. How he managed to sleep comfortably in the heat, still under a blanket, was beyond Shawn's comprehension.
He snuggled into Lassie's warm body anyways as he drifted off again. Really, it was almost criminal how comfortable he was lying next to the head detective and falling asleep to his near-silent breaths and unique Lassie smell.
The thought piqued his mind for a bare second. Criminal? Clearly, Carlton was going to have to handcuff him and teach him a lesson, but that thought was for when both were awake and functioning after a coffee (three creams, four sugars!) and a pineapple smoothie.

So! If you want to suggest a word for me to inspire a drabble, go right ahead and leave one in a comment or a PM. Cheers!
