This Cracked Illusion
Dysphasia
Endearing innocence, honest ocean eyes
That reveal every secret.
Shy, hesitant glances,
Whispered, shaking words,
So tantalizing, titillating.
Darling, you'd make me go crazy,
If I weren't already.
Look at me, sweetheart, don't look back,
Because we're standing on this precipice of the present
Of broken promises and ebony lies,
Laced with translucent tears,
That would break you like a stick,
If only you knew.
Your ingenuous ignorance, darling,
Serves well as my mask.
But baby, I can't keep this act up forever.
These clandestine visions
And dark reveries,
This necropolis of secrets,
Makes it difficult to hold back, sweetheart.
I want you to scream my name, you see,
In sweet ecstasy and exquisite pain,
To shudder, shiver, shake beneath me.
I want you to want.
Fragility is oh-so-easy to defile.
So, my dear, my darling,
Please accept my sincere apologies,
When the veneer begins to crack,
And you can see through the fissures,
Into the morbid phantasmagoria that is our reality,
Into my twisted, perverse heart,
That only you, my dear, own the key to.
Into this cracked illusion
My heart is ugly, but it could be all yours.
