Another Thomas rewrite, this time it's "Harold and the Flying Horse" from Season 7. Enjoy and comment.

Harold the Helicopter is glad that he isn't a steam engine. He is much happier flying in the sky, than racing along the roads or rails.

One day, the engines were busy preparing for the Vicar's annual garden party.

Harold was excited. He loved the garden party.

"I want to help too!" he called from above, "but I'm on patrol!"

Harold was up in the sky, looking for engines that were in trouble.

Meanwhile, the engines were busy taking goods to the party.

Percy was busy delivering deck chairs and decorations for the party.

"Don't forget to come to the Vicar's party!" he called out at each station.

Harold heard Percy from up above.

"Thanks for the invitation!" he called as he whirred away.

Later, Harold landed at his airfield to refuel.

While waiting to be refueled, he saw Pegasus, the cart-horse that lived close by.

Pegasus was going to be giving rides to children at the party.

But Harold was starting to feel left out of the party. He wished he could help.

Just then, Thomas puffed in. He was collecting passengers.

"Where are you going next?" buzzed Harold.

"To the party, of course! Everyone will be there!"

"But not me!" replied Harold. "I'm on duty!"

"Indeed!" said Thomas kindly. "Being useful is what matters first!"

Then, Thomas puffed away.

"But there's nobody to rescue!" sighed Harold.

Then came a big surprise. Sir Topham Hatt arrived in his car.

"Pegasus is stuck in a ditch!" he boomed. "If he doesn't arrive at the party on time, then the children will be disappointed. You must rescue him at once!"

"Yes sir!" said Harold as he whirred away.

Percy was curious.

"Pegasus sounds like a interesting name." he said.

"It's the name of a flying horse in an ancient story." explained Sir Topham Hatt.

"Horses can't fly!" laughed Percy. He felt very clever.

Harold flew to the rescue as fast as he could.

"What happened?" asked Harold to Thomas.

"We were collecting passengers, when Pegasus wandered off into the ditch! And now's he stuck! If you can take him, I can take the cart!"

"I'll put Pegasus in my sling!"

"We must hurry!" whistled Thomas. "The party's about to begin!"

Soon, Harold's pilot loaded Pegasus into Harold's sling.

Then, Harold lifted him gently into the air, carefully carrying him across the field.

When Percy saw Pegasus flying in the air, he was surprised!
"Horses can fly!" he exclaimed!

The children clapped and cheered for Harold! He had saved the day!

The party was a huge success, and the children had a wonderful time.

Harold was the happiest of all. He kept working on duty, while having a great time at the party.
