This has got to be the shortest thing I have ever written. Ever. It is extremely random; I have no idea where it came from. Honestly, it might not even be a Zelda fic. No names are given for that very reason. I thought that you might see it as something else. For example, my cousin thought it was a Kingdom Hearts fic. This came into existence.... oh, months ago. I couldn't even tell you which month it was. March, maybe...? Anyhow, feel free to review if you would like to. Thank you in advance if you do, and for those reading other stories of mine, I'm off work, so I got some time on my hands. If you need me, I shall be at this computer, typing my life away.
Faced with such dismal odds, it was easy to lose hope.
The sword, which had been knocked from her hand, was on the other side of the room far out of her reach. The dark creatures pressed in on her from every direction, and without her weapon she could not defend herself. In moments she lay bloodied and broken on the cold, stone floor.
More monsters began to arrive, drawn to the scene by the vermilion liquid that pooled around her. She surveyed them, gazing up at their blood-thirsty faces and into their empty eyes... and laughed.
One of the creatures sank its sharp, fang-like teeth into her sword-arm, but she hardly noticed and continued to chuckle. A clanging sound from one of the upper floors had reached her ears. A noise clamor such as that could mean only one thing: she was right. He was coming to rescue her, just as he always had. The sounds drew closer, as did the beasts that surrounded her, biting and shredding her delicate flesh.
In a situation like this, it was very easy to lose hope.
But she held fast.
