"I heard you and blowfish broke up."
Quinn spun around "What's it to you?"
"I didn't hear why" he continued.
She narrowed her eyes "And you expect me to tell you?"
Puck shrugged "Yeah."
After a moment's hesitation, Quinn spoke "I never loved him. I never loved him, and he found out. He found out I was just using him for popularity. You happy?"
"Are you?" Puck asked.
She shook her head.
"Then I'm not."
She couldn't think of anything else to do but run away from what she had been running from all year.
...
Later that afternoon, when Quinn walked into the choir room, chatter instantly ceased.
"What?" she demanded.
"We know why you and Sam broke up" Rachel replied "Even I think it was wrong."
"Well then you're a hypocrite" said a voice from the corner of the room,, and everyone turned to see Noah Puckerman.
"Excuse me?" Rachel asked, hands on her hips.
"Most of you have dated someone for popularity, including you Rachel. Yet you judge Quinn for it. You used her too Sam."
"Don't" Quinn stopped him "Just don't."
And with that, she left the room.
...
"You still have feelings for me, don't you?" she asks, when she can feel his presence behind her.
He nods "Yeah."
"I'm sorry" Quinn's voice is barely above a whisper "I'm sorry I don't love you back."
"And I'm sorry I do. You deserve better than me" Puck tells her.
This time, he's the one that leaves.
...
"You're the one who deserves better."
They're sitting on his bed. They don't even know how they got there.
"I'm the bad boy. You're the good girl" he replies.
"I-I know. But, you're still a better person then me, Puck. I'm not a good person at all. You can be."
"I don't want to be a good person if I can't have you" Puck tells her.
Quinn shakes her head, before leaning closer. So close, their lips are almost touching.
"I'm really sorry" she whispers, before kissing him.
"Then why?" Puck asks, when she leans back.
"Because I'm a bad person" Quinn replies.
"You still have your promise ring" he notes, as her dress falls to the floor.
Quinn takes it off, before slipping her hand into his.
...
Puck wakes up the next morning, and she's gone.
All that's left is a gold ring lying on his pillow, with a note.
Wait for me. Even if I never come to you.
...
There's a ring on Puck's finger when Quinn sees him next.
She didn't love him.
But only because he deserved better.
