Que Será, Será
By SMYGO4EVA
Fate always played a part in the magician Fai D. Flourite's life. He believed that no matter what happened to you, your fate would always be the same, your guiding point, if you may. And it never failed to make itself known in any part of the worlds he had visited with his companions, especially concerning Syaoran and Sakura. Syaoran wanted to collect all the feathers so he would save the princess, the one he truly loved and cared for. It was destiny's will that those two would be together, even in strife and great loss, and it was inevitable that they were never to be apart, even if for a minute.
He always knew that for them.
He wasn't sure about himself, though.
He wised he had what they had.
True love.
He wasn't sure if he would find what they had.
He wasn't sure if he was even liked.
He wasn't sure if he was even loved.
But he didn't want the others to know that.
Fai wanted to give them the impression that everything was fine.
So they don't have to worry about him.
So they won't get attached to him.
That's why he smiled so much.
And he kept smiling, even when it felt like his cheeks hurt.
He appreciated the irony though.
It was his fate that made him this way.
He didn't know what the warrior, Kurogane, the one whom he gave many nicknames, had in store for himself and the others. He was strong, fierce and powerful, and he didn't want to let anyone who stood in his way to take him down, so he would take what had been passed down from many generations taught to him and preserve the peace that he tried to protect. He would protect the princess, Syaoran, even Fai, so they would be safe.
So they would be by his side.
That was good.
At least he wasn't really alone.
They were all tied to their fates.
Kurogane would keep on protecting.
Syaoran would keep on trying.
Sakura would keep on hoping.
Fai would keep on pretending.
Pretending.
Fai knew that Kurogane pretended to be strong from the inside out, to have a heart created from stone even if he was bleeding to death, to feel no pain, but that was what the warrior wanted him to see. He knew that the warrior had a heart that could easily be shattered and he had the tough exterior to barricade all feeling aside and protect what was of the utmost importance. But insanity would gnaw at him if he never shed a tear for great loss, an unspoken vow to his heart.
And he knew it too.
He knew that Kurogane was aware of his own feelings.
He just didn't want to express them.
He didn't want to get hurt.
To feel the loss just as he did with both his mother and his father.
To have his heart shattered again.
Fai understood.
He understood very well.
If only there was a way he could speak to Yuui again.
If only there was a way for Kurogane to open his heart.
If only.
Que será, será.
Whatever will be, will be.
