You told me once before you left,
That you'd never leave me...
So why is your presence no longer here?
My heart was cleft, no longer beating.
You told me once I was your life,
But how do you know if you were right?
You stole my pulsating heart life a thief in the night.
An angel disguised by a hard mask of marble.
You told me once you loved me,
Why did you lie to me?
You held me through the infinite night,
Especially when everything was at it's height.
You told me once that I shouldn't be afraid,
How can I not be when I know so much?
Or even without your unbounded touch.
You told me once I'd never be alone,
I thought you held the golden throne.
You told me once you were my prisoner...
