When these rivers run dry
Don't cry, don't cry
I'll be thirsty too
This sadness, why did it always find him no matter how hard he tried to fool it? He had come to this man, who was supposed to be his father, seeking for comfort. But he was now watching the mouth that was supposed to speak words of love and wisdom splutter words of the devil. When his chest started heaving rapidly and his breath was caught in his throat, he did what he had always done; he fled. Closing the door to the room where all his secrets were hidded, a teenager's dreams were shattered and the sheets were stained with blood, another feeling was building up inside of him.
Rage. Such anger was rising from the pitch of his stomach that he had to throw his fist at the wall like some kind of maniac. For the first time in many years, he had decided to be vulnerable. He hadn't just shown interest for the boy he was hopelessly devoted to, he had been pouring his heart out to that boy and his own father, and it was the worst thing he could've ever done. Giving love without receiving anything back, not even a sign of mutual feelings, it hurt so much that he thought his heart might actually break.
When things ain't right
Don't sigh, don't sigh,
We always get through
With stupid tears suddenly streaming from his eyes, he sat down on the floor with one hand clutching his own chest in hope of holding his body together so it wouldn't scatter into pieces. All those moments were flickering in his mind. How the boy with the curly hair walked into the room and suddenly the room lit up. The first time he saw him. Those wonderful lips spoke, laughed with him and the only thing he wanted to do was to press his own lips close to them. It drove him mad, not only the overwhelming lust that dawned on him but the feelings of wanting to spend his life caressing that face and that hair and every part of him in any way possible. Oh god, was he actually breaking? Teardrops reached his mouth as he clenched his eyes shut.
When the money runs tight
It's alright, alright
I'm rich in love with you
With trembling hands he made his way up from the floor and stumbled to the bathroom. He put two fingers down his throat and suddenly his breakfast was in the toilet. Straightening up and looking in the mirror, he saw that face he hadn't seen for ages. It was a part of him again, the sadness, and there was no longer anything that could stop it from overtaking his whole being.
When tears run down your face
It's alright, I'll take care of you
