Force of Nature
Aboard a fifteen-meter gaff-rigged cutter, force nine winds blurring the line between boat and sea. A man's voice--stern, uncompromising.
"Hold her steady, damn it, boy! You won't drown. If you do, the sea wins."
So tempting to surrender, just to spite him.

Aboard another ship, his starlit face floating above me, close enough to kiss... pulling me toward unfamiliar waters. A man's voice--control fading, urgent with need.
"Let go, Malcolm, I have you safe. God, I want you so much!"
So tempting to surrender, lose myself in sea-green eyes.
"Say again, love, how is drowning a bad thing?"
