Note: This is my first attempt at a one shot. My last story was deleted because I never had time to finish it. Without wasting any of your time lets get right into it

It's been 8 months after the Naruto's and Sasuke's battle. The village was quiet and peace was present throughout the world. Bonds between the great nations were never better and everyone was closer than ever. Naruto, the world's hero has been studying and training for months to further chase his dream in becoming the Hokage. Naruto has been at it for about 6 months with barely any rest, Kakashi had to tell him to stop and give it a break or else he would have overworked himself to death. So, Naruto did just that, and where else would he be on a day off than his all time favorite restaurant, Ichiraku Ramen.

Naruto approached the stand which has surprisingly expanded since after the village was destroyed. "Welcome Naruto! It has been quite a while, how is our favorite customer doing after all this time?" The old man greeted

Naruto smiled and laughed "It sure has been a while Teuchi. How is Ayame?" He took a seat and looked over at the young woman cooking ramen.

"She's been doing great, the ramen is even better than ever just as always" Teuchi leaned onto the counter "So, what'll it be?"

Naruto smiled and thought for a second. "Two bowls of Pork miso and Beef miso ramen!" His mouth began to water at the thought of having fresh ramen from the greatest ramen shop around.

Just as Naruto began to relax as his food was being made for him, a familiar blonde took a seat right next to Naruto. "Wow, Naruto it has been a long time since I have seen you here, I've been looking forward to finding you here but you just never seem to be here anymore. What have you been up to these past months?"

Naruto looked surprised at the sight of this beautiful girl. He paused and blushed before responding. "Y-yeah, it definitely has been I mean look at you. You look even more beautiful than I remembered you Ino" He gave a grin as his food was just being given to him.

Ino blushed and smiled. "I guess I have to say the same for you, you look handsome."

The boy dug into his food right away, finishing a bowl in record time. Naruto finished all his ramen before Ino could order hers. "So.." He slurped the last bit of ramen into his mouth. "..how have you been since the war ended? Is the shop doing good?"

"It's doing great, business has been a lot better since we rebuilt it, maybe because the war and all the funerals." Ino gave him a quick smile before reaching for money to pay for her food, but before she could Naruto handed the old man the payment. Ino looked at him funny and before she could say anything Naruto put his finger to her lips.

"Think of this as a way of giving back after all the support my whole life. It isn't all I owe but it is a start. Plus, it's my pleasure to pay for a beautiful girl's meal." Naruto smiled. Ino blushed heavily and began to eat. After she had finished Naruto took her hand. "Would you like me to walk you home?" He blushed a bit.

Ino blushed with him before smiling. "I would be delighted." They began walking to the Yamanaka flower shop which wasn't too far away.

After their arrival Naruto smiled at Ino "I had a great time catching up with you Ino, would you care to do this another time?" Blushing, Naruto nervously scratched his head.

"Oh of course I would, you're the villages hero after all" She smiled but before she walked inside her home, Ino gave Naruto a nice peck on his cheek which left Naruto stunned. After going inside Ino still saw Naruto in the same spot with the same expression. It wasn't until a few moments that he snapped out of it and began to walk on home.
