Hi all! Had a sudden inspiration and I just had to write it. Hope y'all like it.
One-shot: Sasuke vs Naruto – A Fight To Settle It All
"Hey, Naruto. You know how you said you wanted to fight me again?" Sasuke suddenly said, making Naruto's brow raise in surprise.
"And when was that?" the blonde asked, slowing down on his paperwork to attend his best friend's words. Sometimes he hated to be Hokage, and having a previous Hokage promise a painful death if he used his signature jutsu to avoid the responsibility.
And he prayed every night that Tsunade wouldn't know about the few times he did end up doing it.
"Hmph. The last time we were at the Valley. You said what we had wasn't our last fight. You wanted to fight the real me." Sasuke informed, then turned around. "See you there." he declared before vanishing, just in time to not hear the groan let out from the blond.
"Sasukeeeeee! You always do this when I'm the busiest! Why-" Naruto was on his way to exclaim before his secretary stepped into the room.
"Umm, Hokage-sama? The council meeting was adjourned. Uchiha-sama gave in the information for you, and left a message saying "This frees your evening, doesn't it?" with a drawing of the Valley of the End. It is quite detailed." she informed him, handing over the paper with the drawing that Naruto easily ignored.
A few moments later, the two most powerful ninja of Konoha met in the first place they fought for real.
And they were ready to do it again.
Craters were formed and re-formed, the ground was cracked hundreds of meters all around the valley, and the skies lit up as if a carnival was going on. When silence finally covered the land, the two ninja faced each other as exhausted as they could be. One with lightning in his only hand. The other, with a storm of chakra in his right hand.
'I was waiting for this… Storing enough chakra to go through your Rasengan, Naruto. Sorry, but I don't intend to lose to you again!' Sasuke thought, and charged at the weakened blond who did the same with a battle cry.
With Minato and Kushina to his sides, each holding the same Rasengan as their son.
And then Hinata did the same. So did Jiraiya. And Kakashi. And Hiruzen. And Sakura. Even Sasuke himself.
Sasuke's Chidori sparked out of existence after their clash, and the Uchiha could only look up from where he was sitting to see the blond smile despite his exhaustion. "You surprised me with that genjutsu Naruto. I lost, fair and square. You are the better ninja." Sasuke acknowledged, lowering his head to hide his own smile.
"Huh?" Naruto asked in surprise, making the raven haired man look up with similar confusion to his blond best friend. "What are you talking about? I don't even do genjutsu!" he exclaimed with a shrug, extending his hand and grinning at Sasuke. "Heheheh, you must'a been so tired you saw split!" he declared.
Sasuke merely grinned back and took the hand, letting himself get lifted up by his best friend. "Yeah, maybe." he acknowledged, wondering for the millionth time how did he ever think he could ever beat Naruto.
While Naruto wondered if Sasuke saw Itachi holding his hand.
