Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.
The clock chimed twelve times.
Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.
Molly stared up at the ceiling.
Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.
At this time, Percy Weasley was probably sitting down on the couch, staring at the clock.
Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.
Unfortunately, it doesn't help. It doesn't make her come home any sooner.
Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.
Molly closed her eyes, trying to drown out the noise. Maybe she wouldn't wouldn't come home today.
Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.
Perhaps she should feel bad for thinking that about her mother. But at this point, she could hardly care less.
Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.
Molly rolled over on her side.
A small knock on the door made Molly open her eyes.
"Come in, Lucy."
Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.
The door creaked open, a stream of light entering the room.
"I couldn't sleep."
"I know, Lucy."
Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.
Lucy walked forward, crawling into bed with her sister.
Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.
"Where do you think she is?" Lucy whispered.
Molly turned to look at her, brushing down her sisters curly red hair.
"I don't know."
Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.
Lucy sighed.
"Do you think she will come home today?"
"I don't know."
Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.
Click.
"She's here." Lucy whispered, sitting up. Molly sat up as well, holding Lucy to her side.
Molly squeezed her eyes shut.
Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.
"Were you with him?" Percy Weasley's voice came up through the floor.
Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.
"Excuse me?" Audrey's loud voice was biting.
Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.
Molly covered Lucy's ears, giving the young girl a hug.
Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.
Perhaps it was best if Audrey stopped coming home.
