Meg watched Castiel in the courtyard. He liked playing with the bees best, though, she couldn't quite understand that or why. She always got stung whenever she was near them, but he never did. It should have irritated her, but it didn't. She was fascinated that they liked him for whatever reason.
It was then that Meg realized that she still had her heart and her feelings. She believed years ago Alistair had beaten them out of her. She was a faithful follower to her father, Azazel, but since he no longer lived, she had needed to find a new purpose in her life.
Meg looked over at Castiel with a smile. He was it, her cause (she made a mental note to try and remember to tell Sam and Dean Winchester that), for her while the Winchesters figured out how to defeat Leviathan. She shivered at the thought of them. If she was saddled with an angel, she was glad it was because of that reason.
Meg knew because of the Leviathans her former boss and the current King of Hell, Crowley, had told his army of demons not to go after the Winchester Brothers. She knew that courtesy wouldn't apply to her nor did apply to Castiel; she knew that they both had an extensive bounty on their heads for double-crossing him. She knew that the penalty would be an eternity of torture, and Hell's time was a hell of a lot different than it was for Earth.
Meg hoped that Crowley or one of his army would never find them, but she knew that it would be only a matter of time before he does.
"Meg!" Castiel called breaking into her thoughts.
Meg looked over at Castiel again. Yup, she thought. Until he found all his marbles again, she was his guardian angel. She knew she was being selfish, but she couldn't help herself by thinking that she hoped that it wasn't any time soon. She chose to cherish the time she had with him because even if she could never admit to anyone else, she was in love with him, and she would do anything and everything to protect him even from Crowley himself. She got up and walked over to Castiel to see why he had called her over in the first place because she knew she would have to cherish every moment with him.
