Flowers

Ludwig was in deep thought when he was rudely interrupted by his dolt of an older brother.

"West! Quit thinking or that big head of yours is going to explode!"

Ludwig looked up at said dolt, who was grinning from ear to ear.

"I am thinking about what to get Italy for Valentine's Day, Bruder," replied Ludwig. The Prussian took a seat across the table from his younger brother.

"Is that all, West?" Gilbert laughed, "Just give her your wurst. She likes that!"

Ludwig glared at Prussia, the latter just laughed even more.

"Quit being so serious all the time," continued Prussia, "I am surprised you haven't scared your little woman off yet with that look!"

Ludwig sighed lightly.

"I just want this to be perfect, Bruder. This is our first Valentine's Day as a couple."

Gilbert stood up and grinned.

"Flowers, West," said Gilbert, "Get her flowers. It isn't that hard!"

The Prussian walked out of the room, laughing maniacally.

Feliciana was standing before the mirror, smoothing out the wrinkles from her dress. When she finished, she smiled widely.

"There, all done!"

The Italian woman looked at the clock sitting on her nightstand. It read 7 o'clock.

"Germany should be here in…"

As if on cue, Feliciana heard her brother Lovino shout shrilly from downstairs in Italian, followed by a 'fucking potato bastard'.

Yep, Germany was here.

Feliciana grabbed her purse and ran out of her room as quickly as she could in heels.

Oh how the young Italian woman hated when her brother made a scene…

Feliciana walked quickly down the stairs and found Ludwig standing in the foyer, along with Lovino and Antonio. The Spaniard had his arms around Lovino's waist, holding the angry Italian man back. Lovino was cursing and calling the German man names in his native Italian.

Ludwig was dressed in a nice black suit and tie. In his hand, he had a bouquet of a half- dozen red roses. Feliciana noticed the flowers, recalling her conversation she had earlier that day with Madeline, Prussia's Canadian girlfriend.

Red roses…he really does love me, thought Feliciana as she walked toward Ludwig.

The German handed the bouquet to Feliciana and gently kissed the woman on the cheek.

"Ich liebe dich," Ludwig whispered.

"Ti amo, Ludwig," smiled Feliciana, kissing the German back.

"Di patate bastardo! Stare lontano da mia sorella!"
