Background
Okay so this story starts off where Eclipse ended. Bella and Edward are on their way to tell Charlie that they are engaged.
BPOV
We were on our way to tell my dad that Edward and I planned on getting married.
As these words ran though my head I realized what I was getting myself into and it was
making me nervous. My dad would not be happy about this and I knew it. For one he
hated Edward. He blamed Edward for the zombie state I use to be in and he hasn't let
Edward forget it. But the main reason I knew he wouldn't be happy was because he
would be afraid that I was making a mistake like him and mom made. He doesn't like
kids getting married to young and he hates the idea of me going though what him and
mom did. So all in all this was going to be a very eventful night.
I was so wrapped up in thought that I didn't notice the engine of the silver Volvo cut off till Edward said my name.
" Bella, love, are you sure you want to do this now?" He said in his amazing velvet voice.
"If I wait any longer I might change my mind and drive to Vegas tonight and Alice would never forgive me for that." I said looking into his liquid topaz eyes.
"I don't care about Alice. All I care about is what makes you happy." He said as he cradled my face in his stone like hands.
"As long as your with me forever I'll always be happy and since that's all I'm asking why not let Alice have her fun. This can't be as frightening as watching you almost get killed by Victoria or standing face to face with the Volturi." I said shuttering at the last part.
"I'll be with you for as long as you want me and even longer." He said as he broke out in my favorite crooked smile.
"Now that that's settled let's do this thing before I realize what I'm actually doing" I opened the car door and in a instance he was at my side.
"Oh no." He said as we got to the front door. He looked like he had just remembered something horrible.
"What?" I said feeling a little alarmed.
"This isn't good. I have to talk to Carisle." His eyes were full of alarm now.
"Edward what's wrong?" I was beginning to feel paniced.
"Charlie went to see Billy today,s and I'm afraid Billy upset him. He very drunk right now and not at all happy. Those stupid dogs!" When he mentioned Billy his eyes filled with anger and hate.
"What did Billy say to him?" I was in total panic mode now.
"I sorry Bella. Your going to have to find out yourself. I must talk to Carisle. Those mutts broke the treaty and he'll know what to do. I'll be back as soon as I can.Be safe my love." He was off and running before I got another word out.
I stood there for a minute and thought about what he said. There's only one thing Billy could have said that would have broken the treaty. I felt my heart beat fasten. No. Billy would never do that! There was only one way to find out. I reached down for the door knob and closed my eyes. I didn't know what was going to happen next but whatever it was wasn't good.
