Best Friends
Merlin and Arthur have been friends since they were in middle school. They grew up together and most of the time they were with each other. People come and go but the two of them remained. But there came a time when Arthur finally found someone he wants to spend his entire time with and started to neglect Merlin. Arthur started to become distant and had found a new group of friends. He doesn't talk with him anymore, doesn't spend time in his house just chatting for long hours. Merlin missed him.
On Arthur's 19th birthday, everyone was invited in his party, being the child of the most powerful man in their city. Merlin was not used in going to parties like this especially when in the past, they just spent Arthur's birthday with a few close friends and family. He gave him a hand-made scarf for his 15th birthday and Arthur always used it, but now he rarely see Arthur wears it.
He missed the old Arthur, he missed his best friend. The things they did in the past are only memories right now. He wants to go back in time but that can never be.
