Hold My Hand
"So you finally managed to ask the girl out, Bruder?"
Ludwig straightened his tie in the mirror, paying no attention to Gilbert.
"I didn't think you had the balls personally," continued Gilbert, "Nice to know you proved me wrong!"
"It's just dinner, Bruder," replied Ludwig.
"Just dinner? It's not just dinner! It's dinner in the company of a lovely Italian beauty, Ludwig!" exclaimed Gilbert, "If you didn't beat me to it, I would have already nailed her!"
Ludwig glared at his older brother in the mirror silently. The younger German man hated when his brother talked about 'nailing' women, especially nice women like Feliciana. Ludwig considered himself to be old- fashioned compared to Gilbert.
When Ludwig finally finished, he walked out of the bathroom, passing Gilbert, and reached for his jacket, putting it on.
"I'll be back later," said Ludwig, "I better not return to find this place a mess like the last time Francis and Antonio were here."
As Ludwig walked out the door, Gilbert shouted.
"I hope that Italian friend of yours can get the stick out of your ass!"
Dinner ended on a good note. For the exception of Gilbert and Feliciana's twin brother Lovino constantly texting him, Ludwig had an excellent time with the young Italian woman.
The pair were walking down the street toward the Italian's apartment when the brunette woman spoke.
"Thank you for tonight. It has been a long time since someone took me to dinner."
"You are welcome," Ludwig replied.
The young woman looked strikingly beautiful under the light of the full moon. She was dressed in a black, sleeveless dress that came slightly above her knees. The neckline of the dress plunged just low enough to slightly reveal some cleavage. Feliciana's long strands were held back in a bun, a couple pieces of hair framing her face. She did indeed look stunning. To Ludwig, she looked stunning every day. It was a pleasure to work with her on a daily basis.
"Ludwig," began the Italian, "do you have a girlfriend back home in Germany?"
Ludwig looked at the woman and shook his head.
"No, I do not," he replied. The pair stopped in the middle of the sidewalk. Feliciana took Ludwig's hand and gently kissed him on the cheek.
"Then, I do not feel bad doing this," smiled Feliciana. Ludwig smiled lightly in return and the pair continued down the street, hand in hand.
