A/N: Seeing as this fandom seems to have robbed me of my ability to write angsty fic - I bring more drabble fluff.

Hold Me Close (Tiny Dancer)

One thing's for certain: Kurt would never have been able to do this back at McKinley. Like at Kurt's old school, the glee club is doing a duets week. But unlike McKinley, nobody cares that all of the couples are two boys singing together. No one warns Kurt about his stalkerish tendencies, or the fact that if he sings with another boy, they will both be bullied. No one cares that Blaine and Kurt have chosen to pair up and sing a love song, rather than the rock music the other boys have all chosen.

When they perform the following week, no one catcalls when Blaine announces their choice of Baby, It's Cold Outside. Kurt isn't mocked for his high voice, or the fact that he and Blaine spend the whole song practically undressing each other with their eyes. No one mentions the part of the duet when Blaine pulls Kurt into his arms and kisses him lightly on the lips before spinning away again. And at the end, applause and cheers are thrown towards him, not cold slushies.

During the evenings, when the boys all cluster to the commons room, no one cares that Blaine and Kurt sit side by side, practically in each other's laps. Blaine's arm slips easily around his boyfriend's waist like it's the most natural thing in the world, and no one mocks them for it – well, except maybe Wes and David, but that is more friendly teasing before Mario Kart is loaded than anything else. When the evening gets later, and Kurt leans his head down to rest against Blaine's shoulder, he can do so, without fear of bullying because of it.

They can walk down the halls together, hand in hand, free from fear. During the summer, they have picnics out in the grounds, and they kiss. Several boys from the football team see and Kurt flinches, only for the boys to walk away silently, but with a smile for him when they next run into each other in Chemistry class. And at Kurt's prom – the same prom he thought he would spend dancing with Mercedes – he slowly sways in Blaine's arms, happy at last.
