WISHES

A/N: Wow. LinkxColin pedoslash. Who'da thunk it? Oh well. I don't even know why I'm writing this. I just love these two together. And I apologize for being slightly unrealistic; we ALL know Link can't talk!

Enjoy.

"We'll get to play together every day, right Link?" Colin asked, running ahead of the horse rider happily. Link nodded.

The promising farm boy of Ordon Village had just gotten time off his work. He felt he needed a little bit of time to get himself relaxed and ready to start fresh.

Plus, the kids had been nagging him lately about "Not having enough fun."

Link really loved playing with the kids. It wasn't at all that he didn't want to; just, he never had the time to. He smiled at the happy boy's expression, watching him run ahead and try to catch the seeds of dandelions blowing in the wind.

Link picked one that was still perfectly intact, and blew on it gently. Colin also found one and picked it up. "Link! We have to make a wish. If all the seeds come off, our wishes will come true!"

"A wish, huh?" Link asked, smiling. Colin nodded, smiling that adorable little-happy-sad-boy smile of his. They both blew gently, Colin on Link's, Link on Colin's. When each tiny little seed fluttered away into the clear cool breeze, the two set off again towards Link's house to play with a strange toy Link had found.

The small spyglass sat, neglected, on the table by Link's bed. It caught the glint of the sun just perfectly, seeming to split the rays of light into thousands of rainbows. Link had never paid much attention to it; to him it was merely a copper and glass instrument used to look at things. However, he knew Colin and the other children would like it, if for no other reason because Link had found it and was going to share it.

After all, the children loved Link.

"Okay Colin, we're here," Link said, opening the door. Colin giggled. "Wait, Link, I wanna see Epona!" he cried. "Let me pet her, please!"

"Okay, Okay," Link said, nodding. He smiled down at his little friend contentedly. How cute, he thought.

"I wanna learn to ride horses. Can you teach me one day, Link, please?" He asked, excited by the thought.

Link nodded. "Of course!" he said. "If you want, tomorrow I can teach you."

"Yeah! That'd be great!"

"All right. Anytime tomorrow, as long as it's okay with your parents, all right?"

"Okay."

Thanks for reading; sorry the first chapter kinda sucks. It'll get better, I promise.

I edited the preview a bit, it was too much to put in one chapter. I guess I'm so excited to write this fic I didn't realize I was going a bit too fast for myself.

PREVIEW:

Link's way of doing things was always the same.

He always took excellent care of Epona.

Today Colin was going to have his first lesson.
