AN: My friend wanted a one-shot written, and I agreed, since she's super awesome. But then she asked for Snape/Lily, which I've never written and don't even honestly read, but like I said, she's super awesome and epic, so here it goes. Hope I do it justice!
Disclaimer: I own nothing you see here.
"Severus, you promised me!" ten year old Lily Evans said, looking at her best friend with a pout on her face. The boy in question looked back at her, trying his hardest not to give in. She stuck her bottom lip out and let tears pool in her eyes, and he cracked.
"Alright! I'll let you teach me how to ice skate!" Severus Snape yelled, silently cursing himself for being such a push-over. When he had promised to learn the week before, it was simply to make her stop asking him.
He was hoping she'd forgotten.
"C'mon, then!" Lily yelled, pulling him to his feet. They raced off her front porch and down the street, Lily clutching two pairs of ice skates in her hands as they ran.
After a few moments and some annoyed muttering from Severus, both had their skates on and Lily held his arms, leading him onto the ice. She kept his arms in her grip, and Severus felt a blush raising up on his cheeks when she leaned closer.
"Move your feet, Sev, don't just stand there" Lily ordered, before letting him go.
Severus tried to do as she said and move his feet, but lost his balance and fell backwards.
He heard laughter and looked up, glaring at the red-head in front of him.
"You think that's funny, do you?" he asked Lily, struggling to get back to his feet. Lily nodded her head and kept laughing, watching as he almost made it, then fell back down onto his butt.
"Will you please help me up?" Severus finally asked, giving up on trying to stand on his own. Lily struggled to control her laughter as she bent down and pulled him to his feet. She held onto his arms again and moved her feet, showing him how.
"Here, I won't let go this time, just move your feet with me, alright?" she asked. Severus nodded, still feeling a little unsteady. She started to skate backwards, moving slowly, and Severus copied her movements carefully.
He looked up to see a bright smile covering Lily's face.
"See? It's not that hard" she said, starting to move a little faster.
Severus was about to ask her to slow down, when she let him go again (didn't she just promise not to do that?) and he fell forward, landing straight on his face on the ice.
"Sorry, Sev" Lily said from above him, laughing quietly.
"You're laughing at me again" Severus said in reply, rolling over onto his back and looking up at her.
"Well, yes" Lily admitted, letting her laughter out full force. She skated around him in a circle, smiling down at him the entire time.
"Honestly, this is boring, can we do something different?" Severus asked, sitting up and watching as she kept skating around him. "It's only boring because you don't know how to do it, Severus" Lily replied, coming to a stop in front of him.
She held out her hands and helped him to his feet, and skated slowly back over to the snow.
She let him go and he plopped down onto the snow, a smile covering his face.
"Much better, Lily" he said, and Lily snorted, sitting down next to them.
They removed their skates and replaced their boots, both standing up at the same time. Severus started to walk a little bit ahead, not paying attention until he felt a snowball hit him on the back of the head, and saw Lily race off ahead of him, laughing loudly as she ran down the street.
He smiled a little, and raced off after her, knowing she had him wrapped around her finger.
Surprisingly, he found he didn't mind.
AN: Not the longest, or the best, but hopefully it's alright. My first Severus/Lily, so be kind, please?
