Notes: This is incredibly short. Just something I thought would make a cute 'fic. I definitely expected it to be longer, but whatever. Deathly Hallows spoilers. I was inspired by the song 'Everything' by Michael Buble. Constructive criticism would be nice. Or just flat out criticism. I don't mind.
You're a falling star, You're the get away car. You're the line in the sand when I go too far.
Everything
Ron sat and watched Hermione read. She wasn't talking to him. She was still angry about how he had left her and Harry, but that was okay. He didn't need to talk to her. Just looking at her was enough.
Ron had liked Hermione for a while. He knew it. He had always known it. Snogging Lavender had been a nice distraction from the complications that his feelings for Hermione presented, but Lavender had never been the one he wanted. Whenever he snogged Lavender, he couldn't help but think of Hermione and how much he wished he could run his fingers through her beautiful bushy mane or slide his hands over the curves of her hips.
Hermione meant more to Ron than anyone in the world. She was everything. She was brilliant and bossy and close-minded and strong. But she was also patient and caring and emotional. She worried about Harry and wondered about the future. She was terrified of failing and depended on books and cleverness to help her through things. But she understood loyalty, friendship and bravery. She was brave in her own way, giving up her parents for their own safety, letting them think they had no daughter. Ron knew that it must have hurt, knowing that her parents may not ever remember her when this was all over, but Hermione was so strong.
Hermione was what kept Ron going through this hell. He knew he'd never be able to make it through all this without her. She was their backbone, the one that kept the trio grounded and realistic and prepared.
Ron knew that Hermione wasn't ready to feel the intensity of what he felt for her. She was still hurt about Lavender and the fact that he had walked out on her and Harry, but Ron knew that someday, she would be ready. Someday, he'd be everything to her, just like she was everything to him. Someday, hopefully soon. And he would wait, because she was worth it. She was worth everything.
End.
