Sometimes they fool around when the inside of the delivery van is bare.

It's all harmless, really. He'll slap on the ol' bravado real thick for starters and she'll giggle a bit for his troubles. They've gotten sort of comfortable in their routine of mindless flirting (a little too comfortable if Tillie has anything to say in the matter.) And while "lily white boys ain't got no kind of business carrying on with skinny black girls and such" they're both too high on youth and attraction to really consider the consequences. She's pretty and he's enthusiastic. Her lips are soft and his hands know all the right places. Society be damned. So they proceed to indulge in what can only be described as lust because…well, it's the 60's man. Peace, love, and gravy, so why not? They're young and eager and have found that hormones pay little heed to the particulars of race anyway (the countless hickeys residing on their necks can bear testament to that fact.)

Tillie will continue to make a fuss about it, asking God why the whole damn world has seemed to gone crazy. And one day he'll settle down with that nice girl who works at the diner. The one with the long brown hair and glinting blue eyes. And maybe she'll get with Raymond from school, because he's got a good head on his shoulders.

But for now though, they'll just enjoy the ride.

A/N
: I truly ADORE this movie (too the point where it may be unhealthy, I'm told). God, the dialogue and the acting were incredible. Spencer Tracy and Katherine Hepburn were amazing. And Sidney Poitier in this film is just…well he makes me want to invest in a time machine.

I chose to write a fic centered on this pairing because although they only get about 2 minutes of screening time I just thought they meshed well together, or something like that.

Reviews are appreciated (and if you love this film as much as me, don't be afraid to gush).
