A/N: Wow, can't seem to write anything long nowadays. School's gotten to me.

If You See Terezi…

"If you see Terezi, could you give her a message for me? Tell her that…"

Karkat paused, really unsure of what to say. What could he say? What was there to tell to an annoying blind girl that licked everything she wanted and gave flavor association with the colors she tasted? Calling her weird would be insincere, even if he meant it in a slightly positive way. And making a point on her handicap would be even more horrible.

What could he say to her? She was the first to figure out the color of his blood during that short moment they shared, and probably the only to accept the mutant candy-red color it was. Terezi was just extremely fun to be with, and he wishes that she was asleep when he woke up so they could take a dream-adventure with her. They sympathized with each other. She called him adorable on numerous occasions, and he secretly got jealous when she became so close to Dave.

What words could be put together without being mistranslated? "I'm sorry I wasn't there to save you"? "I wish I woke up sooner"?

He couldn't help but remember how much she's pissed him off before, and he definitely could never forget the times he's made her mad and how much he had regretted ever doing what he did to make her feel that way. Oh god, was it even cool between them now? Were they still in a stupid little fight over what seemed like nothing at all? Was she still mad at him, did she begin to hate him like everyone probably learned to do? Did the "thing" that everyone keeps talking about become one of her biggest regrets?

Honestly, that thing that may or may not have existed (but has surely existed at one point in time anyway) was probably what put Karkat at a loss for words. They were matesprits, sort of, and he had definitely gone red for her. Maybe it was the uncertainty towards whether she felt the same way or not that didn't allow him to send Jade as his messenger. Perhaps it was the feeling that she was either feeling a genuine emotion for Dave Strider or trying to make him jealous that made him stop and think about his choice of words. Maybe, though, it's like Kanaya said, even though he wouldn't want to admit it: maybe he shouldn't just dismiss other people's feelings so easily all the time.

Really, he sort of wished that he could say "I love you" without feeling the need to explain everything.

His hands, still tensed on the keyboard like it was when he was thinking of what to say, began to move in a fluid motion. He reviewed what he already wrote in the memo, wishing he could send messages to Terezi as easily as he had for Kanaya and Sollux. But this was inevitable, Karkat knew, because he would never feel that way for either of them.

"Actually, never mind."
