Even though he'd moved into an apartment with his girlfriend, Zoey, Mike was still miserable. Why? Because he had to live with his M.P.D, his Multiple Personality Disorder. Zoey did do her best to ease the pain, but most days even that wasn't enough.
He was lying on the couch when he heard the door open and heard footsteps coming into the apartment. Zoey had just come back from work.
"Hey Mike, how are you?" Zoey asked.
Mike responded by groaning, a clear sign that this was not a good day for him.
Mike sat up. Zoey walked over to him and sat next to him. She put her head on his shoulder and held him close. He did the same.
"One of those days, huh?" Zoey said, closing her eyes.
"You know it," Mike said.
"Well, I just want you to know that I will always be there for you, even when you don't feel like you can carry on," Zoey reasured.
"Well thanks Zoey but," Mike started. "What if Vito pops up and does something? Like something really bad and I never get to see you again? You know your parents don't like me and they don't think I should be dating you because of my disorder. What if that happens and I never get to see you aga-,"
Mike was interrupted by Zoey's lips crashing down on his own. He was surprised for a few seconds but he soon returned the kiss. They stayed like that for a minute before breaking away to look into each other's eyes.
"Felling better?" Zoey asked.
"Heaps. Thank You," Mike replied.
Zoey then rested her head on his shoulder. Mike responded by wrapping his arms around her. It didn't matter if his life sucked. He had a person who loved him.
THE END.
