Tonight was a night Booth and Brennan were dreading. Sweets had invited them on a night out to see how they were getting along after Broadsky and Vincent. After the last time he had taken these two out with his date it had not ended well so he decided maybe Daisy would benefit by staying at home and doing yoga.

Booth insisted on driving Brennan to the Founding Fathers that night, he had become overly protective over Brennan in the past couple of weeks after all there was a child inside her. His child. Brennan complained about how this was all an experiment of Sweets' and how he was just trying to see how they would react in a non-work environment talking about non-work things.

The couple met Sweets at a table towards the back of the restaurant were Sweets was sitting dressed in his normal shrinky clothes. Sweet had already ordered a bottle of wine for the three of them to share even though only two of them would be drinking it, but he was nowhere near finding out. Sweets started to pour the wine into the glasses but as he went to pour it into Brennan's glass Booth stopped him abruptly and insisted that she just have water instead. Booth was unaware of the suspicion he just raised in Sweets' mind.

As the night drew to a close and the couple were ready to head back to Brennan's apartment for a well deserved rest, after all they had gone the entire time without once mentioning work or the baby. As Sweets and Booth fought over the bill Brennan excused herself to the ladies room. She went into the stall and feeling quite queasy sat on the toilet lid and all of a sudden realized that there was blood and that wasn't good she. Immediately left the bathroom and rushed across the restaurant to Booth and Sweets who were both paying the bill. In a fluster she started mumbling words into booths ear and then all the colour disappeared from his face as if he had seen a ghost. He told Sweets to go get the car quickly and don't ask why. Sweets bamboozled did what Booth had told him. Sweets pulled the car out the front of the Founding Fathers and helped Booth get Brennan into the back seat. Booth demanded that Sweets drive them to the hospital as fast as he could. Brennan was sitting with Booth in the back of the car and she was crying with fear for the life of her child and she couldn't help but worry about what was happening.

As Sweets drove into the hospital car park booth told to park as closely as he could to the maternity section of the hospital. Sweets went white when he heard those words come out of Booth's mouth. Sweets didn't believe what was happening. Brennan was pregnant but she couldn't be in labour, for one point she was to quite to be in labour and point two she has no signs of a baby bump. That can only mean one thing. The baby was in trouble and it was in it deep.
