So I've been watching Riverdale and even though the plots aren't something I favor, I have liked the characters- well some of them. So, I've decided to write my own fic on it. This will be in season 2 with character developments but with a plot of my own so there's no Blackhood. Enjoy!

Full Summary: "What are you doing here Sweet Pea!" I asked with frustration. "I came here to tell you that you're my woman! And I demand you come back!" he snapped angrily. We stared at each other with hard eyes neither of us breaking eye contact before he broke down, the vulnerability showing in his face. "Please." When Leyna Summerstone moves back to Riverdale, she tries to lay low and just make it through high school even though she gets absorbed into Archie's gang and involved with the Southside Serpents, specifically Sweet Pea. But when a dark figure starts stalking Leyna and a string of murders start to follow, chaos ensues between the northsiders and the serpents. Can Leyna find the killer or will they all be devoured by the darkness?

Riverdale is my home even though it has secrets, and a petty rivalry between north and south, bad boys and goody two shoes, it was still my home. And now we are moving back just in time to start my junior year of school at Riverdale High. The moving van attracted the attention of many people, staring at us through their curtains.

"Please do not drop my mother's piano it is very old!" my mother directed the movers. I smiled as I checked the piano off our inventory list. Mother is a doctor, one of the best actually, which is why it was easy to get a job at the hospital. Mother went above and beyond for her patients. Dad's a firefighter. Always brave with a passion for risking his life. His career was sometimes the root of an argument between my parents. Mother did not want to see him on an operating table. She didn't want to see any of her family on the table.

"Excuse me." I heard a light voice say. I turned and saw a familiar blonde-haired girl in a blink blouse staring at me. I gave a polite smile.

"Hello." I replied curiously.

"Um. I don't mean to interrupt or anything, but you look really familiar." she said. I nodded in agreement.

"Yeah so do you." I replied. Her eyes brightened at this.

"Betty Cooper." she said. I smiled wider remembering the name.

"Yes, Leyna Summerstone." I replied. She nodded swiftly.

"YES!" she replied and now the memories were flooding back in. We went to elementary school together. Her hands flew open and I leaned in. I wasn't really a hug person and she knew that, from what I can remember. But I don't think I can deny a dramatic hug like that.

"Oh my god, I cannot believe you are back in town! It's been so long!" she said and I smiled as I leaned back and nodded.

"Too long." I replied.

"Leyna, who are you talking to!" Mother called as she approached us. She was in a grey tank and blue jeans with a black flowing cardigan. Her hair was down and in long waves.

"Mother. This is Betty Cooper we went to elementary school together." I announced, and mother tilted her head, looking up in thought.

"Cooper? Yes, the name sounds familiar. Nice to meet you. Don't talk too long dear, we need to get these things in the house." she said. I nodded and looked at Betty with a weak smile.

"Sorry." I replied and she shook her head.

"Nonsense. You're going to be at school tomorrow?" she asked, and I nodded. "Great. There will be a welcoming committee waiting for you tomorrow!" The thought sounded nice. I could find all my classes and know my way around quicker. I liked it.

"Okay. Sounds good!" I replied, and she waved and turned and walked off. I turned and continued to help my family move. It was hot and I was absolutely disgusting. After a well-deserved shower, I met my family downstairs for dinner.

"You ready for school, Leyna?" Dad asked as he cut a piece of his steak. I nodded some but slowly began to bob my head from left to right.

"Kind of." I replied.

"The Cooper's girl came by." Mother pointed out.

"Alice and Hal Cooper?" Dad asked before lightly scoffing.

"What's wrong with them?" I asked. My parents glanced at each other before shaking their heads.

"Oh we just went to school with them is all. We know many of the families here: The Coopers, Blossoms, Andrews, hell even some of the Southside Serpents used to be people worth hanging with." Dad explained.

"You knew the gangs?" I asked.

"Yes, but they are the past. Sadly, I've already heard their school has been shut down due to safety concerns. They'll be at Riverdale now." Mother said her voice laced with disapproval.

"Is that a bad thing?" I asked.

"No, but it only takes one germ to form into a virus and destroy a nice thing." she said. Father and I looked at each other hiding our snickers at how dramatic Mom was being.

"Well try and keep an open mind, sweetheart," Dad said, "Join some school activities. Enjoy your school years. College isn't too far away."

"That's right. So no getting into trouble." Mother added.

"I understand." I replied and looked down eating silently. The next morning, I was running gel through my damp curls and pulling the sides of my hair back and clipping it with a monster clip. I wore a navy-blue racerback tank with blue shorts. Simple and chill. I turned and left my room seeing my mother in scrubs and my father in a grey tee and blue jeans. We all had our keys in hand.

"Alright my beautiful girls, I will see you both later on." Dad said kissing my mother lovingly, before kissing the top of my forehead. We left the house together and went out separate ways. I examined the night neighborhood as I drove. It's beautiful, delightful almost, like nothing bad could touch it. That's how it was even when I a little girl. Everyone was the same: Loving families, strong house hold, fairy tale friends. But now I'm older. Not too old, but old enough to know that places like these always had some dark secret behind it. I arrived and saw many students getting out of their cars. A lot of them dressed nice and had really nice cars. I parked my car in the student parking lot, grabbed my bag in the back, it never left my car, and walked inside. I didn't even get too far in before I saw Betty Cooper in the corner next to a talk, handsome brunette-haired boy, and a small table. On the other side was a polished looking girl with raven black waves and a black sleeve top. She wore pearls and a pearl bracelet. I smirked at the thought of jewelry.

"Mom are we pearl girls or diamond girls?"

"Diamonds of course."

Betty waved happily and I approached them.

"Hey. Happy to see we found you." she said. I grinned some and she raised her hand to the girl first. "These are my two best friends, Veronica Lodge and Kevin Keller. Guys, this is Leyna Summerstone."

"Nice to meet you all." I replied.

Kevin's eyes popped.

"Summerstone? As in Dr. Freja Summerstone?" he asked. Betty and Veronica looked at him almost stunned at his gushing tone. I nodded.

"Uh yeah, you know my mom?" I asked.

"I have read many articles about her. She's famous for her healthcare article about how the government is making it harder for the public to get access to healthcare and how the rich has open access to all of it!" he said. I nodded.

"Yes. She likes to help the world." I replied.

"Well enough fangirling, Kevin, let's get on with the tour." Veronica said. I smiled and followed my tour guides. They helped me find the office first so I could pick up my schedule and after they all got a healthy view of it, they began to show me my classes, the cafeteria, the gym, their football field and track, their soccer and tennis court. They even had an indoor swimming pool. As we rounded the hall, we all almost bumped into a red headed girl with deep rich red lip stick.

"Make like the red sea and part, losers." she snapped and walked through us after fanning her hands at us to move aside. I looked her over.

"Is she for real?" I asked.

"That's Cheryl Blossom, I would say she's harmless, but she knows how to play dirty. Don't become her enemy." Betty said. I nodded before noticing two boys approach us. One was a red head with deep, innocent eyes, wearing a blue and yellow football jersey. The other was a dark-haired boy wearing a black leather jacket and pale complexion. On his head is a grey knitted crown beanie. The two melted into Veronica and Betty. The jock and the quiet friend. The red head wrapped his arm around Betty while the other wrapped his around Betty.

"Leyna this handsome boy is my boyfriend Forsythe Pendleton Jones the third. But everyone calls him Jughead. Jug, this is Leyna Summerstone." she introduced. Jug smiled.

"Summerstone? Sounds like a pokestone used to evolve your Pokémon." he teased. I grinned.

"Yeah I get that a lot actually." I replied.

"And this is my bae, Archie Andrews, head of the football team." Veronica proudly stated.

"Hey." he replied, and I nodded back smiling politely.

"Hello." I replied.

"Leyna is a Northsider who has moved back to Riverdale… where did you guys go anyways?" Kevin asked.

"Oh all over the world. My mom and dad thought it would be nice to see the world a little before I graduated and moved out." I replied.

"Wow, wish my parents were that cool." Veronica said.

"Oh please, if you wanted to travel the world your parents would buy your tickets in second." Kevin teased. As they group teased each other I noticed some other jocks walking by us glaring at the back of Jughead's coat. He caught their looks and gave a deep frown in return. Betty took his hand.

"I've heard the Southside school children are also here." I replied looking around some.

"Yeah they came in a few weeks ago. Not everyone's happy about it." Betty told warily. I looked at Jughead now and tilted my head at his jacket.

"You are a serpent." I concluded and Jughead bit the side of his lip and nodded.

"Yeah. Does that bother you?" he asked.

"I don't care either way. My father was a Southsider, my mom a Northsider." I replied.

"Glad to know I'm not the only one." Betty muttered. It seemed her parents had a past she didn't seem too happy about. Suddenly a group of black leather wearing kids approached us and I looked them over.

"We having a party over here?" the pink haired girl asked. She had long tresses and a tough face, but is beautiful nonetheless. She has a tan almond shaped face and pretty eyes. Archie didn't look to comfortable around them. In fact he mildly glared at them.

"I gotta get to class." he said.

"Cool. I'll walk with you. Nice to meet you Leyna, see you around." Veronica said and I nodded at them both and watched them walk away. The leather wearing teenagers didn't seem bothered.

"Just showing the new girl around. Leyna Summerstone, Toni Topaz, Fangs Fogarty and Sweat Pea. Guys, this is Leyna. She's cool." Betty introduced. I smiled at them both noticing Sweat Pea, the tallest of the three staring me over some. He was very tall and slim with his hair swept to the side. He had a serpent tattoo on the left side of his neck and deep, dark eyes.

"Greetings." I merely replied before hearing the bell ring above us.

"Well we should head to class. Nice meeting you, Leyna." Jughead replied. I nodded.

"Same. See ya." I merely replied and walked around the group of kids in the direction of my class room.

"Leyna, wait up!" I heard Betty call. I looked over my shoulder as I kept walking.

"I hope that didn't make you too uncomfortable back there. I know the serpents are rough, but if you get to know some of them you may really like them." she said. I scoffed lightly.

"I am not afraid of them. I could care less if they are here. If they do not mess with me I will not mess with them." I replied. She nodded, eyes showing some relief.

"Good. Well I know it can be tough being the new girl, so if you want to hang out with us sometime, you're welcome." she invited. I gave her a genuine smile and nodded.

"Thank you, Betty for your hospitality." I replied, and we shared warm smiles before separating. The tension was apparent in this school. Serpents roamed the halls in packs and people stared at them as if they weren't even humans. Mild arguments broke out between students who were northsiders and students who were southsiders. It was rather disappointing to me. I was sitting outside in the court yard eating my lunch in silence. I received a text from my mom asking how everything was and if I was okay and felt safe. I told her I was fine.

The school was beautiful. Very rich with diversity even if the diversity wasn't what everyone wanted.

"The lonely new northside girl is sitting all by herself." A smooth voice responded, and I looked to my side to see it was none other than the tall serpent boy, Sweat Pea. What kind of name was that anyways? I arched a brow.

"And the southside serpent boy is ruining my isolation." I responded and he seemed mildly amused by my words.

"Mind if I sit with you?" he asked.

"If I say yes would you still do it?" I asked and he smirked and nodded.

"Yeah probably." he replied. I stared up at him for a moment before sighing and raising my hand up to the row across from the table. He sat down right in front of me, a smirk still playing on his face. I watched him carefully for I didn't trust him. Hell I didn't know him.

"So what kind of name is Leyna?" he asked.

"What kind of name is Sweat Pea?" I asked back. He smirked.

"A name that gives me pride." he replied proudly. I nodded.

"Well my mother gave me my name." I replied casually and continued eating my sandwich. He nodded slowly as he focused on my father.

"You know you're pretty cute." he said. My chewing slowed some as I looked up at him swallowing now. "We should hook up sometime." My eyes shifted from calm to apparent anger and in one swift motion I grabbed my Coke bottle and just squeezed it hard at him watching as it squirted all over his face. He sputtered and gasped and leaned back and I quickly shot up from the table.

"Get over yourself pig!" I snapped before turning and heatedly walking off.

"Oh this isn't over! I will get even!" he shouted. I turned and looked at him.

"I'll be waiting for you bitch!" I snapped and turned and burst through the double doors and into the school.
