Angel sat nervously in the waiting room of the courthouse. She and Collins had been waiting for four hours for the ruling over them adopting not one but two children. They planned on adopting a two and a half year old from Africa and 6 week old baby from Mexico. Joanne had been there for them since they got married and decided on adopting. She was working so hard on this case and as good as she was Angel and Collins both had faith that she would come threw for them. Glancing up at her husband Angel smiled some.
"Honey don't worry, Joanne will get this for us. We will soon be parents. Just think we will have a wonderful two and a half year old son and a baby daughter."
Collins stopped pacing and turned to her smiling big.
"Yes, Emanuel Darius Collins and…."
"Roslyn Marie Collins." Angel added quite quickly.
"But what if they deny us…then what? I've been looking forward to this day since we filed for the adoptions." Collins replied sighing.
"No fear mi amor, Joanne will come through and everything will be ok. She's really good at what she does. So, I figure the first thing we do with our new family is family pictures then we can go shopping. With the money we saved we can buy some more toys and clothes for our babies." Angel rattled on fast.
"Yes, your right, I trust Joanne and that sounds wonderful. We will be a big happy family. Of course we got to take then to the life café and life support to show them of. Mimi and everyone else get to see them first so we have to drop by the loft. Man, my heart is beating so fast right now. "
"I know this is so exciting. We will soon be mommy and daddy. Of course I am a little nervous." Angel admitted.
"Me too, but together we can do anything. With our friends around nothing will go wrong." Collins assured her.
"What if one of us dies? We still can't ignore the fact that we have AIDS. I mean how long will we get to be in our children's lives? What about explaining to them about us? "
"Angel, don't worry. We will get threw this together. I'm sure we will live much longer and when the time comes to explain to them we will do it together. Let's not worry and cherish the time we will have together with our family. Alright baby." Collins said going over to her wrapping his arms around her.
"Yes….right." Angel replied with a smile.
All the sudden the doors to the conference room opened and Joanne came out a serious look on her face. Neither Collins nor Angel could tell what the answer was from just looking at her. Going over to her Angel smiled.
"Well…what did they say?"
