The smell of something burning and someone talking woke me up. "Miss Ackerly your textbook is burning!" I awoke with a start and saw that I was in potions. Curse you potions. Ahhh, I'm such a fool. I slapped my textbook with a wet towel until the fire extinguished. Professor Scarlet exclaimed "Miss Ackerly what do have to say for yourself?!"
Oops?
"Sorry professor, it won't happen again," I responded. The room's silence had broken and the walls were echoing the sniggers around me. The culprits of the sniggering were my friends Scorpius and Albus or Scorp and Al. I wonder why I'm friends with those two oafs. Dumb (Scorp) and dumber (Al). When we got out of class, Scorp teased me by saying "This isn't the first time."
"Shut up Scorp, go to your girlfriend. I'm sure she misses you but I don't know why cause she's too good for you." Scorp whacked me with his textbook, ow, and set off to find his dear Ravenclaw Rose in the sea of students.
That left me with Al. He's the only one who knows about my crush, he found out last year because I couldn't keep my blush under control. I'm grateful that Al hasn't told anyone though. "Did I look like a fool in front of Frank?"
"You always look like a fool Evelyn."
"Thanks, your kindness has never failed to amaze me."
"No problem, dear friend."
"Ahhh, what am I going to do?"
"First of all, stop saying ahhh too much. Next, stop sleeping in class."
"Both are hard, the first one is a habit and the other is impossible because Professor Scarlet's voice is so DAMN DRAINING!" Al's eyes lit up as suddenly his ex, Kendrah a fellow Slytherin in my dormitory soon joined us, she still likes him even though she was the one who broke it off. She pulled Albus to the side of the hallway. They were having a hushed conversation, the conversation included a very annoyed Al. I was trying to eavesdrop but I couldn't hear a thing. Anyways I could guess what it was about. He came out grasped my hand and dragged me to the Slytherin common room, ow. "Al, what happened?"
"I told her to stay away from me."
"She's asking you to date her again?"
"Yup."
"Dinner's in ten minutes." I went up to my dormitory to put away my textbooks. When I closed the door, my book bag's seam spilt. Technically I successfully completed the task of getting my books inside my room so I left my books at the doorstep and left. I expected Scorp and Al, but Scorp was nowhere to be found. I followed Al out, we took the long way to the Great Hall.
