Teddy raises his hand and stops mid-way through the motion of knocking. His hand falls back to his side and he sighs. He attempts to knock again, but his nerves won't allow him. Finally, he plucks what courage he has – and it's not that much – and knocks. Inside, he hears movement and faintly thinks that she can't pretend not to be there.

"Teddy," Victoire gasps as she opens the door. He can't believe that he's missed her blonde hair and curious blue eyes, because they're nothing compared to Lily's wild red hair and mischievous brown eyes. "What are you doing here at three in the morning?"

"I'm sorry," Teddy spits out. He's not sure that he even means it and they both know it. He waits for her to allow him into her house – not theirs, as it would've been months ago.

Victoire moves out of the doorway, allowing room for him to pass, "Come in, then. We'll talk." She leads him to the living room they once shared before going to get drinks for the both of them. Once inside the safety of the kitchen, Victoire doesn't know what she's going to do. Teddy meant everything to her. That is until he left her to be with her cousin.

Teddy takes the cup of steaming coffee, wondering vaguely if she remembered how he liked it. "Thanks." She nods, waiting for him to speak. He inhales and starts, "I've been stupid. Made some choices I'm not proud of. But everything I've done recently didn't make me happy, like I thought it would." He meets her eyes for the first time since he got there. "You made me happy. And maybe what we had was dysfunctional, but it felt right."

Victoire sits silently, trying to find the words to say. She wants to argue that he's been with her cousin and her best friend; but then she remembers the past months that she's been running through her daily routine – existing but not really living. Her life really sucks without him in it, and somehow they both know it.

She kisses him softly and he knows that he has another chance. He has a lot to make up for but they'll make it through it together.
