Vampiric Connections

Do you remember when you were a little kid and you always looked up to your parents? You did it for one reason, well two if you count the fact that they were taller than you. You thought whatever they said was right, even after they tell you it wasn't. When you were a child, they told you about Santa Clause and the Tooth Fairy. And how if you were good for an entire year Santa would bring you presents and the Tooth fairy would trade your rotten teeth for cash. But when you got older they told you that Santa wasn't real and neither was the tooth fairy. And if they didn't tell you I just did. They also told you stories about the Easter bunny, ghosts, werewolves, St. Valentine's Day, and vampires. By now you should know the Easter bunny isn't real, ghosts are spirits that were left behind, werewolves only come out during a full moon, St. Valentine's Day is a government conspiracy and vampires are real.
Don't believe me? Well you probably don't and if you do you're not as dumb as I thought. There has been lies about vampires since the beginning of time. So let me clarify some things. Vampires CAN go out in the daylight, but they don't like to restrain themselves from the delicious blood you humans carry with you. Blood isn't the only thing we drink; we have to eat "human" food, like fruits, veggies, and steak…very rare. Yes we are immortal, however if we wish to die we can be killed. Vampires do age, not normally of course. We can take the form of any age we wish, though most of us prefer the teenage or 20's look. Garlic doesn't hurt us it just stinks, crosses don't bother us, we don't have to be invited into a room before we can enter it, and we do show up in photographs and mirrors, we just duck to make you look like an idiot.
I bet you're wondering 'How can I become a vampire?' Most of you can't. There are two ways to become a vampire. One is babies. Yes vampires can have babies they aren't sterile like some of you humans. Two pureblooded vampires can have children or a vampire and his/her chosen. Which brings me to the second way to become a vampire. Every vampire has a "Chosen." You humans call it "true love." It is a specific person created solely for a vampire. Some times a vampire's chosen is another vampire or a human. A 'Chosen' human can only be turned at the vampire's birth site. And this part of the legend they did get right, we bite. We inject our more powerful vampire blood and our Vampiric cells take over your weaker human ones slowly transforming you.
I want you to understand this; there is no such thing as a half vampire. When a chosen is turned, they are no longer human in whole or in part, they are a full-fledged vampire, but not a pureblood. Vampires cannot have babies with humans. A vampire can only have children with his/her transformed chosen. Vampire on vampire action, sorry no humans.
Unfortunately, not all humans like the idea of becoming a creature of the night. Which has caused our numbers to trickle down. We have about one thousand vampires for every continent, except Antarctica, it's freakin cold there. Vampires have influenced world culture since the beginning of time. But no one gives a shit so I'll start my story from the beginning.
