Obvious
Through sputtering synapses and a face taking on more and more of the hue of Yamamoto-soutaichou's Ryujin Jakka, Hitsugaya Toushirou can sense Matsumoto, his team and Kurosaki's friends (damn, why were they all there at that exact moment?) smirking at his obvious discomfort.
Unlike other souls, she is actually sincere, Master. Hyourinmaru's reminder did nothing to calm the red currently blazing to the tips of his ears.
This must be karmic justice for his own mental mockery of the rest of Orihime's male friends when they inadvertently overhead this innocent conversation.
5 minutes earlier…
"What about the little guy with the white hair?" Hitsugaya bristled at the little reference, identifying the voice as someone whom Orihime called Chizuru. "Which part do you like about him?"
"Well it's obvious, isn't it?" the warm, mellow voice of his human hostess in the World of the Living replied. The tenth division captain noted noted that Orihime had given up earlier at persuading Chizuru-chan to just accept the fact that she liked her male friends as a whole - like a pistachio, ginger, sesame-sprinkled sundae.
Her friends had chosen very wisely to say nothing, except to give her weird looks. The boys behind the homeroom door likewise swallowed their cringes.
Hitsugaya did not know which he should feel more bewildered about, the fact that girls would talk about liking parts of those of the opposite gender or the fact that Orihime had answered so swiftly and assuredly that there was something likeable or attractive about him.
Even Kuchiki mirrors Orihime's friends in their surprise. She, Tatsuki and the rest of the girls interrupt in turns.
"Is it the same kind of 'obvious' as Ichigo's frown…"
"Sado-kun's gentleness…"
"Ishida-kun's hands..."
"Renji's tribal-princely vibes…"
"Madarame-san's self-confidence…"
"Yumichika-san's appreciation of beauty…"
"Yup!" Hitsugaya could practically picture the smile on the human girl's face.
"Well, what is it?" demanded Chizuru, sounding curious, distressed and jealous simultaneously.
Hitsugaya nearly toppled over when he heard Orihime's reply.
"Toushirou-kun has the most beautiful pair of eyes I've ever seen."
