Summary: Songfic(Untitled) One-shot- Riku decides to run away after being rejected by Sora. He sees a white light, and is lying on the ground, bleeding. What happened? (RS)

Author's Note: This is my first fanfiction...ever. I finally got the guts to post it... ha. Tell me if you like it or I should forever quit writing. One-shot

"Sora.. I love you…"

"…what?" He laughs, "Riku, are you kidding?"

Riku ran. He ran hard, he ran fast, not daring to look back. Tears were streaming down his as he sobbed out loud. He heard nothing, but the rejection from his only love playing over and over again in his mind. He closed his eyes and just ran; he had to get away from this place. Anywhere, but here.

I open my eyes

I try to see but I'm blinded by the white light.

Finally, he stopped running, his body too tired to carry on. He opened his eyes, only to see a white light coming towards him fast. He closed his eyes and waited for the impact..

I can't remember how
I can't remember why
I'm lying here tonight
And I can't stand the pain
And I can't make it go away
No I can't stand the pain

He was lying on the ground, blood pooling around his head. Every part of his body was in indescribable pain. Ever so slowly, he opened his eyes... "Sora..." he whispered. All went black...

How could this happen to me?
I've made my mistakes
Got no where to run

The night goes on
As I'm fading away
I'm sick of this life
I just wanna scream
How could this happen to me?

He heard the faint wailing of sirens, people talking… his heart slowly beating. "We're losing him! We have to get him to a hospital, right away!" He felt himself losing consciousness again.

Everybody's screaming
I try to make a sound but no one hears me
I'm slipping off the edge
I'm hanging by a thread
I wanna start this over again

He blinked his eyes open, only to be blinded by the paramedic's light. "He's awake! Get him into that ambulance!" Riku opened his eyes and groaned as he felt a wave of pain shoot through him. "You're going to be okay, kid," he heard somebody telling him.

So I try to hold on to a time when nothing mattered
And I can't explain what happened
And I can't erase the things that I've done
No I can't

Memories began flooding his mind. He remembered all the times when he and Sora dueled… Sora's 14th birthday, when Riku shoved his face into the cake… the way Sora's eyes lit up when he laughed or smiled… Sora. His lips curved into a faint smile as he felt himself giving into the darkness… But what had happened between them? They've became distant lately. He wanted to fix that, he wanted to see Sora smile one more time. He wanted to hold Sora in his arms and tell him he loved him again. A tear escaped his eyes.

How could this happen to me?

"Sora... I love you" Everything went dark, as his heart gave its final beat.
