This is it. I'm finally going to tell her how I feel. Leona nervously ran a hand through her orange mane as she reached a door that had become quite familiar to her over the past several months. What if I've got it all wrong? What if she merely puts up with me because of who I am? That thought alone was enough to make the Radiant Dawn freeze where she stood. No. She's never cared about my title. She's always seen me for who I am… Steeling herself, Leona forced herself to knock on the door.
"Come in," Came a voice from the other side. The young woman slowly opened the door and peeked inside. Diana was sitting on the centre of her bed reading a book. She looked up and smiled. "Leona! I figured it was you. No one else ever comes to see me." She closed her book and leaned over to set it down on her nightstand. Goddess she's beautiful. Leona closed the door behind her and walked over to and sat down on the edge of Diana's bed. The blonde turned to face her again, head tilted in curiosity. "Why are you here anyway? Don't get me wrong, it's always nice to see you, but aren't you supposed to be at a training session right about now?"
Leona shrugged. "Atreus let me off the hook early today. He's got an early meeting with the Elders and didn't want to risk oversleeping I guess." In truth, the woman had offered to take his next shift training the younger acolytes tomorrow for her freedom today.
Diana clicked her tongue. "That man is always finding excuses to get out of-" Oh Goddess here we go.
"Diana I have to tell you something" The younger woman blinked in surprise. She wasn't accustomed to her friend interrupting her.
"Yes?" she asked.
Leona gulped and reached up to gently touch the blonde's cheek. Diana shivered at the unexpected contact. Is she blushing? Sun save me I might actually die. Leona slowly leaned her face closer to the acolyte's. She glanced down at Diana's lips and licked her own. "I…" She leaned ever so closer. Diana's breath audibly hitched.
Just before their lips made contact, Leona felt a sudden powerful sensation in her nose. Before she could react, she let out a powerful sneeze, causing their heads to knock together. Diana let out a yelp as she fell off the side of the bed. Blushing furiously Leona stood up and fled from the room, mumbling apologies as she left a bewildered and more than slightly startled Diana still on the floor.
