Superheroes, pillars of the community and beacons of hope for people all around the world, for whenever a monster attacks or a disaster unfolds, it is always a hero who arrives to save the day. For the longest time the world knew not of superheroes, they only existed in works of fiction such as children's television shows as a means to sell toys and other merchandise. But then one day as a young boy was attacked by a crab monster a passing stranger intervened and saved his life, this in turn caused the boy's grandfather a wealthy man with many connections to start an organization known as "The Heroes Association". This would be the beginning of the age of superheroes, as countless individuals flocked towards the opportunity to not only become heroes for the reasons of protecting the world, but also for more selfish reasons like fame and fortune.

This would bring a great sense of relief and security to the people of the world, as anytime something bad should happen a hero would be there to immediately take action to save the day. But what about the monsters, surely they didn't care for the appearance of heroes as it made their lives so much worse, surely they should have some say about the whole thing right? Of course not, monsters were nothing more than freaks and misfits who deserved to be killed and destroyed, because they were different and weird they didn't deserve to have their ambitions realized or their dreams fulfilled, all they deserved was to be purged from the world as though they were a disease. At least, that's what most people would say if someone were to ask them what they thought of monsters, most people would truly believe that they were just disgusting creatures that had no place living among them and the rest of the population.

But what if there was someone out there who thought the opposite, and when asked the same question they would say that heroes were the ones who deserved to be killed, heroes were the ones who deserved to always lose while the monsters got to win? And what if that someone after seeing monsters lose every battle ever fought whether it be in fiction or reality, decided they wanted to be the one to finally turn the tables, to make it so that the monsters would come out on top? And what if that someone, wasn't even a monster at all.

"Come back here!" A B class hero yelled, as he and two others chased after a monster.

"Ngh...Damn it!" The monster cursed beneath their breath as they ran, having to keep a hand pressed against their side to lessen the amount of blood they were losing "If that bastard didn't get help, his ass would've been mine!" They shouted angrily.

Most monsters are typically creatures that just suddenly appear, or perhaps are animals or insects that have in some way evolved to be far smarter and deadlier than they otherwise would be. But then there were times when a human could actually transform into a monster, sometimes it would happen because they indulged in something far too much, like a particular food or pass time. Others transformed as a result of an outside influence, like a chemical agent or perhaps an experiment gone awry. For this particular monster, who was doing their best to lose their hero pursuers through the alleyways of the city, they had transformed out of the kind of person they were, a rather sadistic and psychotic individual who's form changed shaped based on their very personality and self.

And while thanks to this transformation they had acquired some powers and abilities that they hadn't possessed before, such as increased strength and speed, in the face of three B class heroes it didn't really help them to hold their ground. Hence why after trading but a few blows with the trio they took on a great deal of wounds, such as the rather large gash on the left side of their abdomen, which even with them applying pressure was bleeding quite badly. But alas, even with them still able to swiftly move despite their injuries their bleeding and exhaustion was catching up with them, allowing the heroes who gave chase to do the same.

"Now we got ya!" One of them exclaimed as he leapt towards them with a fist reared back.

Doing their best to react the monster could only raise their free arm to try and lessen the blow, which unfortunately did nothing to keep them from getting hit and being sent into the alley's wall. Feeling a good deal of bones in their back fracture as they made contact with the brick exterior of the building, they fell to the ground face with any remaining strength of their own quickly fleeting. Unable to do anything but lie there in pain and agony as the heroes approached them, the monster was mentally screaming at their body to do something, anything to prevent what was coming.

"MOVE GODDAMN YOU MOVE!" They mentally cried as tears came to their eyes "DON'T JUST LAY HERE AND DIE YOU PIECE OF SHIT! GET UP AND RUN!" They demanded.

Looking up just barely from the ground to see the feet of their attackers stand before them, it seemed as though this would be the end of their short lived life as a monster. Closing their eyes and awaiting the final assault to be delivered to their form, the sound of bones breaking violently soon filled the air followed by screams of suffering, but it wasn't coming from them. Opening their eyes and looking on in shock at what was suddenly transpiring before them, a figure hidden by the darkness of the alleyway was attacking the heroes, and from how effortlessly they seemed to be doing it was clearly quite powerful.

"GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" One of the heroes cried out as one of their arms was forcefully bent in the opposite way, leaving it to point out behind their back and sending them to the ground.

"What the he-" Another of the three began to say, only to be cut off as their head was shoved into the wall with such power that it left a small crater.

As for the third hero he wouldn't get to say anything nor make a single sound, as the individual delivered a powerful knee to their abdomen, breaking most of their ribs and sending them to the ground.

"W-Who are you?!" The first hero questioned as he sat on the ground looking at them in fear, being the only one still conscious.

"Heh, does it really matter?" The individual spoke, revealing that it was a man "S'not like if I tell you it'll unbreak your arm." They taunted, just before they delivered a strong right punch to the hero's head.

Watching as the last of the heroes was made unconscious like the other two, the man then turned around and walked towards them.

"Man, they really did a number on you huh?" He noted as he approached, looking them over to see the extent of their injuries "Don't worry, I'll have you fixed up in no time." He told them as he helped them to their feet.

Doing and saying nothing as the man put one of their arms around his shoulder and helped them stay upright, they still were not able to make out his face as they began to leave the alley.

"Who...is this guy?..." They wondered, before succumbing to their wounds and blacking out.
