When they reminisced about the way they met, Tsunade would smile slyly and widely in a way most unbefitting of the hokage and announced that Hinata was her Saviour.

Hinata would blush and stutter and protest. "I d-didn't do anything."

In response, Tsunade would curl her hand beneath Hinata's chin and brush the fingers of her other hand across Hinata's cheek. She would smile as she watched the rosy blush spread across the young woman's face.

"It wasn't nothing," Tsunade would insist. "That barkeep would have made me work my fingers to the bone to pay my tab if you hadn't come along and let me borrow the money to pay him." She would pause, waiting to see if Hinata would speak up about the little matter of her outstanding debt. This time, when Hinata didn't mention it Tsunade brought it up herself. "I still haven't paid you back for."

"You don't have to - " started Hinata, but she was silenced as the older woman pressed her lips against hers.

When they parted a moment later, Tsunade was smiling again, sly and wide.

"I want to pay you back, though," she said. She paused again, taking the moment to run a a hand over the curve of Hinata's breast beneath her coat. "And I don't think I'm mistaken in thinking you wouldn't object if I did."
