A/N: Hey guys! Behold my first song/lyric poem, inspired by, dedicated to, and in tribute to Zgirl21's awesome-beyond-awesome fanfic, "Sanctuary." It's a beautiful and very well-written Padme/Anakin-centered fic that I highly recommend because I'm not kidding when I tell you that I literally wanted to write this poem the second I finished reading the first two chapters. I actually got my chance to jot it down when I recently had a homework assignment which asked for a lyric poem, so VOILA! An extra big round of applause for Zgirl21, herself, for allowing me to post this poem--YOU ROCK, DUDE! So, enough of my author's notes, I now present... (drumroll comences)...
"Sanctuary: A Tribute"

He watches as the suns die tonight
and still he thinks to himself, why
They are not together.
He is not with her.
Is she alright?
Within the hour, lightyears away,
she stands out on her balcony
The stars come alive this night,
But all she sees are his blue eyes,
and she doesn't want to stay...
Worlds apart, they think the same.
Each holds strong to the other's name..
So far in life, so close in soul.
They will come together
Once
and
for
all...
Inside, deep inside their hearts,
They intertwine, heal, and run across fields.

Wanting to be in each other's arms,
Embraced and loved, far from harm.
These cold nights will slip away
Their love gives light to the emerging day.
Reality can't awaken them in alarm.

Though separated they are, they feel the bond.
