A/N: Totally written for SKF, who rocks my socks. Um. Yeah. Fuu's on top, but you totally knew that. First time attempting both Seifer and Fuu, both romantically and character-wise. So? Con crit would rock a lot. Um. That's about it. Do enjoy?
Impulse
It happens exactly the way that it should.
It was always going to be a secret: Fuu knew as much. She had planned and calculated and she had known Seifer would not have wanted an open, public display.
He had more tact than that.
He was no idiot: he was one of the few in Twilight Town who wasn't.
Scratch that.
He was the only one who wasn't.
It starts with the two of them hidden away in some nameless alley with Rai on the lookout for the blondie and his three cronies. He claims he can "get a better view from higher up, y'know?" and so he's on a roof or tower somewhere to leave the two of them in silence.
She had suggested that Rai keep his idea.
She will suggest what comes next.
She shifts closer to him, braver than she should be. He does not move. She takes this as a good sign.
Her voice is softer than it usually is. It's nothing but a whisper, but it's still harsh against his ear.
"Seifer."
"Yeah?" he asks, looking at her brazenly. Not blinking. Just waiting for a cue from her.
She offers nothing.
"What do you want, princess?" he asks, impatient, nothing but pure impulse.
She doesn't know how to say it.
She follows her first impulse and presses her lips to his.
They're chapped, just like she thought, but soon it's not enough and her tongue forces his mouth open to her. He swallows a protest, a question, some words that don't need to be said (and she's never been overly fond of boys who talk too much).
He holds her at arm's length, tears their mouths away. There's blood shining on his lips.
She's very proud of herself, and a small smirk spreads across her face.
"Wanted that," she offers.
He can take it, or leave it.
He takes it.
"Why didn't you just say so?" he asks.
"Impulse," she says, only half-lying, before bringing him close again.
