I was born in complete darkness in the Appaloosn Mountains, and I was only a few years old and still barely able to walk due to my small legs, but I was lucky to have my long strong arms that helped support my fragile body and allow me to at least crawl. I was born with a light tan coat with the tips of my ears brown. M elbows to my hands were brown along with my knees to my feet. I also had my tail almost completely brown. Everyone is born with a beautiful coat in my pack, but with time it turns into a different color due to our environment. The caves we like in are dark so with time we become nocturnal so as a child it is hard to see without a light source. My mommy left all the responsibilities to my Daddy. He would show me games to play in the dark and tell me stories about fierce creature who can fly in the sky and shoot fire from their mouths, and every time we had fun in the darkness mother would try to ruin it. She'd try to get father to fight with him and he would never do it. I loved my mommy and daddy they protected me, fed me, and loved me.
It was like paradise until one day mommy destroyed it. She woke me up in the middle of my nap and said "the leader has ordered us to leave this dark world, and find the light". I got up and followed her and asked "what about daddy?"
"He'll meet us there" she said quickly. As soon as those words came out of her mouth my body began to feel sick. I continued to followed, but wanted to turn back. What seemed like hours had soon passed when I stopped walking and said "mommy I wanna go back!"
She replied with an angry tone "Were not going back now come on".
"N-NO!" I yelled nervously "I want daddy to be with us I can't leave my home not knowing if he's safe!"
She began to growl and yelled "WERE GOING NOW!"
"NO, NOT WITHOUT DADDY" I screamed back.
"YOUR PRECIOUS DADDY IS DEAD NOW YOU'RE COMING WITH ME!"
My body stopped moving. My dad died? No he wouldn't leave me I thought as my eyes filled with tear. "YOU'RE A LIAR!" I screamed "DADDY'S NOT DEAD NONONONONONONONO!"
Our screams echoed through the mountains when we suddenly began to hear the sound of barking. "They found us, Run!" my mommy said. She turned to grab me, but I ran away. She was going to hurt me, fill my head with lies, and leave me to die. I ran and ran, but she was so close along with the sound of the barking. I ran faster than to only to hear a loud scream from my mommy. I stopped and turned around to see bloody red eyes staring right at me. As she screamed and pleaded for her life I turned around and ran. I had to find daddy or it'll hurt me. As I ran the walls echoed with her screams until finally it completely stopped. I ran and ran until I lost track if I had turned left right, or straight. It was completely silent and I was surrounded by darkness and the monster was following me. I began to cry even harder and stopped running. I sat down and wrapped my long arms around my tiny legs. I looked around the darkness to see if there was anything around, but it was pitch black. I then rest my head on the ground and curled up into a ball.
I then mumbled to myself "mommy daddy please find me I'm scared the bad man will get me…" right before I fell asleep.
