Sam stared at the stick in her hand that had turned blue and she new that her life had changed suddenly. Chin up, Sam, she thought her herself. You are a soldier, you can deal with this. She marched right into Jack's office and put the stick on his desk, afterall Jack is a man of few words and she new he would realize what it meant. Besides, it was best not to talk out loud of such things because it might be overheard. Jack looked up at her and then grinned wide and stood up and grabbed her in a hug, camera's be damed because he was going to be a father again. Sam was so happy and she huged him back so tightly, her heart was filled like her stomach, with happiness for her future and that of her unborn babies. Somehow, deep down inside she new that she would be having twins.

Later that night, Jack asked her to marry him but she refused. She would retire, of course, because the Goul'd were still out there and needed to be defeeted. Jack was angry but he could understand so they had a secret wedding right there in the house. Jack propsed and got down on one knee and they said their vows and exchanged rings. Sam wears hers on her necklace because of the secret and she knows he wears his on his dogtags, so it's close to his heart no matter where he goes.

Sam looked up from where the twins, a boy and a girl, were playing and she couldn't believe it had already been four years. The twins were SO big and looked just like their father, but they had her blue eyes and blond hair. And they were so smart! They'd already had started the 3rd grade and Sam and Jack couldn't be more proud of little Jackie and Sammy. Sam had known raising them by herself was going to be tough, but Jack came around as often as he could and she prayed for the day the Goul'd would be defeeted so that they could tell the truth to the world about their love and what they had sacrificed.

In the years Sam stayed at home to raise her children, she was bored but she new that she would have the time now to get another PHD. She decided to study archeology because she thought she should be prepared if one day SG1 needed help. She also taught herself to speak Goaoul'd and to read ancient and while she missed being at the SGC, she still new she had clearence if they'd ever need her.

So it was that she got the call two days before thanksgiving, that SG1 was in trouble. Hammond called her personally and said she was the only one who could help. Sam had kept in shape and she quickly got the twins dressed and dropped them off at Janets. It all came back to her naturally, kitting up, checking her weapons. She had grown her hair long and now put it on a ponytail, keeping it out of her face. The only thing missing now was SG1, but she had their back and she new she would bring them home.

The mission was a success, she'd gotten them all home and Daniel had been knocked unconsious and Sam was so grateful she had studied because it was her knowlege, along with the notes Daniel left in his notebook that allowed her to get her love back home.

And so it was that SG1 met at her house for thanksgiving, and the twins loved playing with uncle Daniel and Teal'c and their secret-daddy Jack. Sam was so grateful, her heart was full with love for her family. She felt Jack squeeze her hand underneath the table and she new one day soon their sacrifice would not go in vane.
