Living Is A Problem Because Everything Dies
Heyyyy y'all...this is my first ever attempt at a fanfic...or any kind of writing! This is just an intro chapter to the story and should have the next full one up in a couple of days.
Disclaimer- not mine booooo
Sheer panic.
That's the first thing I remember feeling.
Followed almost immediately by pure terror.
I do not think I have ever been gripped by a sense of fear as strong as when I caught the gaze of the piercing blue eyes that had finally caught up with me.
3 years earlier
Sookie Stackhouse rolled to a stop at the crossroads to gaze at the sign that would welcome her back to the town she left 7 years ago. She flexed her slightly sweaty fingers against the steering wheel and switched the radio off with her other hand. Her breath caught in her throat as the reality seemed to hit her like a freight train, until actually seeing the border to her home town of Bon Temps returning had not seemed all that real, it was just another place to pass through. But now, gazing upon it for the first time since her teenage years, the prospect of what she could face suddenly did not seem all that appealing.
Sookie sighed heavily removing her sunglasses and rubbing the bridge of her nose, she could always turn away she mused internally, nobody was forcing her to return.
"Man up Stackhouse" she muttered in frustration as the remaining rays of the scorching July heat beat down upon her car sitting stagnant at the crossroads. Taking a swig from the now warm bottle of water Sookie determined that she had to proceed forwards if only to escape the heat of her wreck of a car.
Seemingly achieving victory over her demons Sookie sat up, replaced her sunglasses, turned the volume of her stereo up to maximum and continued forwards past the rickety and weather beaten welcome sign and into the only town she had ever called home.
A/N Are you intrigued? Is it rubbish? Let me know.
